Read the negatives.... sounds just like Mays (dont care about the spelling cuz its Pittspuke)

I want that big hit on defense... haven't seen it in a long time. What db besides maybe Brown can stop the run??

Mays has his weaknesses but I think are coachable.

Reply to Who does this sound like?? on Fri, 16 Apr 2010 16:03:20 GMT

Taylor reminds me abit of Cato June (safety at Michigan, played OLB in the pros at a Pro Bowl level in '05)

clebron

Reply to Who does this sound like?? on Wed, 14 Apr 2010 16:00:36 GMT

I agree that we need a thumper/big hitter on defense, that is something we greatly lack and hope we find that in a safety or LB. But the Browns gave up way too many long yardage plays often times due to players being out of position and not wrapping up when tackling (ie pool, elam, mcdonald etc..). I think Taylor Mays will make some big plays and am not totally opposed to taking him if we can get down to the late first round, but he doesnt wrap up well because he relies on his force and gets out of position and makes bad reads. Taylor does not help the Browns get better at reducing those long yardage plays, id rather have thomas and find a big hitting safety or LB later

cribbs is the man

Reply to Who does this sound like?? on Wed, 14 Apr 2010 15:59:02 GMT

Thomas would be here before mays

choco

Reply to Who does this sound like?? on Wed, 14 Apr 2010 15:52:27 GMT

One scenario I have heard is that if Eric Berry is gone at #7 the Browns may in fact trade down and pick Taylor Mays later in the first round...and get some extra picks in the meantime.

The Gipper

Reply to Who does this sound like?? on Wed, 14 Apr 2010 13:11:25 GMT

No thanks....

choco
