Browns linebacker D'Qwell Jackson is a no-show right now, but says he'll be a Brown in 2010. CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Browns restricted free agent linebacker D'Qwell Jackson, who told The Plain Dealer earlier this week that he'll skip the full-squad minicamp June 10-12 and possibly training camp, assured Browns fans in a tweet today that he'll be a Brown in 2010.

"I appreciate all the concern about my situ(ation) with the browns & to the fans I will be a brown this year. Either way the season begins in sept!'' Jackson wrote on his twitter account.

Jackson, who wants a long-term deal that would enable him to retire as a Brown, is sitting out the team's Organized Team Activities and will miss at least the minicamp because he has yet to sign his one-year tender of $1.759 million. His agent, Brian Mackler, told The Plain Dealer that they'll decide on the deadline of June 15 whether or not to sign it. Jackson will not be fined for the missing the minicamp because he's unsigned.

Jackson also said fans will see the same player they've seen for the past four seasons -- the one who led the NFL with 188 tackles in 2008 -- when gamedays roll around
