Pittsburgh's defense is back to their usual violent form. They will survive these 4 games wthout Ben riding their D to no worse than 2-2 but probably 3-1. Once Ben returns the offense will contribute quite nicely. The Ravens are pretty much a mirror image of the Steelers except Flacco is not on the same level as Big Ben but they will have a consistent offense and a nasty D. The Bengals are interesting with their two diva wide outs plus a good tight end and shiply in the slot. You add those guys with Palmer and Benson and their O is going to put up points but that D is not very good. Teams will just have to outscore them. The Browns are eternally rebuilding and just now are ammasing talent and have a long way to go. If you dont beat the Chiefs there is a good chance you wont see a win for many weeks.

steelsoldier

Reply to Predictions on AFC North Standings this year on Sat, 18 Sep 2010 01:45:49 GMT

Yeah losing always helps a franchise.

WRREBEL

Reply to Predictions on AFC North Standings this year on Sat, 18 Sep 2010 01:41:48 GMT

We need a future franchise QB and when looking through all the teams, you really need to get one higher up in round one.

Yes, there are exceptions and you're not guaranteed to find one, but in an upcoming draft with so much talent at the QB position, it won't break my heart to be 4-12 or 5-11 AS LONG AS WE STAY COMPETITIVE.

At this point in the process, wins don't matter as much as improvement. And sometimes wins can hinder improvement by knocking you down in the draft.

Just my opinion.

Squintz

Reply to Predictions on AFC North Standings this year on Sat, 18 Sep 2010 01:36:49 GMT

Browns 12 and 4 we clinch and rest our players losing the last two games

Close or not we lost to one of last season's worst teams. Baltimore will most likely not be the powerhouse that the media still insists it and the Cowboys are (no matter how badly they may want that), but a set of double digit wins for them is not impossible in the face of two games against the Browns, Bengals, and at least one of two with a Roethlisbergerless Steelers; it is however impossible for us and we have no shot at the Wild Card considering that even if we do win enough games to contend, they won't be in our division. We're the odds on favorite for cellar dweller status. Cincinnati winning the division this season? When pigs fly. The only reason they looked good at all was because Belichoad eased off in an uncharecteristic manner.

Where you do have it right is that Pittsburgh barely a prayer of winning this Sunday unless that Defense plays out of their minds good, make CJ a non-factor, and Dixon (sp?) manages to avoid costly turnovers. Other than that, your prediction is laughable...

Scumbags (10 - 6)

Steelers (9-7)

Cincinnati (8-8 if they're lucky)

Us (5-11 again, if we're lucky)

neohionative
