I remember that game well. I was still living at home, and my parents were in Florida, so I had my dude and his girl (who was a Steelers fan) over to watch the game. Afterwards we tormented her. Mostly because she was an Ohio born Steelers fan, and she rooted for Pittsburgh, and Denver, to piss her dad off. Oh, but she liked the Cavs though.

The highlight of that second punt return still makes me jump out of my chair everytime that I see it. That was the season we started 5-2, had the lead in the division, cut Kosar after getting crushed by Denver, and finished 7-9. That game though, and the Monday Night game when we beat the Niners were my 2 favorite games that season.

djdawg2010

Reply to Whats up with CRIBBS on kick's on Tue, 05 Oct 2010 13:28:51 GMT

I think the blocking has been poor compared to the past two years and Josh has lost some confidence in his blockers.

DawgTracker

Reply to Whats up with CRIBBS on kick's on Mon, 04 Oct 2010 20:34:22 GMT

@<bdi>djdawg2010</bdi> said:
Kind of reminds me of when teams started kicking away from Eric Metcalf!

This hits the nail on the head. Cribbs has not lost interest in returning kicks at all, he takes alot of pride in holding the NFL record for kicks returned and I promise you he would love to raise that record even higher.

BrownsBacker

Reply to Whats up with CRIBBS on kick's on Mon, 04 Oct 2010 00:24:01 GMT

@<bdi>nuck81</bdi> said:
He's got the rep as the best return man in the league now. I agree totally... every announcer talks about him being a deep threat and blah blah blah... it was nice to win a game today with out him having to run two back to the house! I personally think that we should use someone else for kick offs and punts on situations.. the dude is probably tired as hell..

I agree. He doesn't look the same. Thought maybe it's because he's been more involved in the offense this year and the hits have been slowing him down?

dawg08
