And just because you were coached at the position in D III still doesn't mean that you know more than anyone else.

Irony is the fact that according to this, Sanz has the same 40 time as Freddie Barnes, the BG WR that lead the nation in receptions and yards last year averaging about 130 yard per game and 1 touchdown. Sanz will be drafted on Sunday and retained by what ever team takes him, while Barnes signed as a undrafted FA and was dropped by the Bears after training camp to never be picked up again. The only knock against his play? His forty time.

Harry Buffalo

Reply to Sanzenbacher on Fri, 07 Jan 2011 17:39:15 GMT

I can already see Sanzenbacher making Pittsburgh Steeler DB's whiff ....

The question is whether or not he may make a good #2 or #3 slot type of WR for some NFL team, and whether or not it may be worth it to some NFL team to take him in the lower rounds, the Browns or anyone else.

I will assume those reasons are not any of the following:

A. That he cannot hold onto the football

B. That he has shown an inability to get open in the seams of a zone.

So, I guess you could do worse than taking Sanzenbacher in the 4th round.

These guys have Tim Couch on here, but they are a bunch of idiot lemmings. The Browns have had at least 5-6 worse top draft picks than Couch the last 10-13 years: Courtney Brown, Gerard Warren, William Green, Braylon Edwards, and maybe a couple others.

The Gipper

Reply to Sanzenbacher on Thu, 06 Jan 2011 16:57:18 GMT

Wow, I never realized my opinion on Sanzenbacher could touch off such a firestorm.

I don't care if he played for tOSU, Michigan, USC, Duke....my point was he just makes plays.

Peace!!

Bob806

Reply to Sanzenbacher on Thu, 06 Jan 2011 16:31:07 GMT

@<bdi>kshutchins</bdi> said:
Thank you. I'm tired of seeing perfectly catchable balls bounce off receivers' hands. I find it disturbing when a commentator remarks that the defender is running a better route than the receiver. (I don't usually put much stock in what the commentators say but in this case he was correct.) I'm tired of seeing our receivers out of position or letting a catch get away without a fight. I want to watch a guy who can make not only the routine catches but the miraculous ones when necessary.

You want to see a good example of a defender running a route better than the receiver, see the Red-Right-88 video. Ozzie Newsome gets out-played by his defender moreso than Sipe throws a bad pass, IMO.

ATENEARS
