Nebraska is a very cool place to nab a db

Eric Hagg - DB - Browns Browns defensive coordinator Dick Jauron envisions seventh-round rookie Eric Hagg as a versatile safety/nickel back.

"He played in their nickel package and in their dime sub-package," Jauron said of Hagg at Nebraska. "We think he can play some safety too, probably either one, free or strong." For now, we're penciling in Hagg as T.J. Ward's primary backup at free safety. If he picks up the defense before the season, it's possible Hagg could battle for the starting strong safety job.

Reply to Still Don't Think It Was A Brilliant Draft By The Browns? on Sun, 29 May 2011 02:05:07 GMT

Seriously thats just another positive thing for the Browns, and this class. I was a little skeptical at first with the pick but i think he is way better than Asante who we took in the 5th last year dono what they saw in him every time i watched tape on him he was constantly getting beat in coverage..

Hagg on the other hand has progressed each year and could be a sleeper steal in this draft we'll have to wait to see how it pans out for us.

Nw220

Reply to Still Don't Think It Was A Brilliant Draft By The Browns? on Sat, 28 May 2011 17:05:20 GMT

Goddamn, end this lockout and lets get rolling!

halfsane

Reply to Still Don't Think It Was A Brilliant Draft By The Browns? on Sat, 28 May 2011 16:52:51 GMT

One of the guys I am actually most excited to see us sign and play in Mitchel the DE we traded our 7th round pick in 2012 for. The guy is apparently a sack artist, and really the only reason he didn't see the field much in Minnesota was because he had Ray Edwards (another DE I would like us to look at) and Jared Allen. I also think that one of our LB last year should turn into a good nickle DE, either Trusiks or Benard.

Harry Buffalo

Reply to Still Don't Think It Was A Brilliant Draft By The Browns? on Sat, 28 May 2011 16:20:10 GMT

@<bdi>gips</bdi> said:

I cant wait to see this years draft selections in progress, i suspect we will have more than one surprise from the bottom of the deck and a much more solid 4-3 base than many currently think possible..

Who knows?

Add a couple of well selected FAs and we could be on our way...
