San Francisco 49ers 1981–1994 NFL 5 (1981, 1984, 1988, 1989, 1994) Four Super Bowls in nine years, Five total Super Bowls in fourteen years; Five straight division titles (once),

I notice that to be a dynasty, this requires a team to have won at least 3 titles in a 10 year period.

Some teams that are not included on this list of dynasties include:

The 1970s Dolphins who appeared in 3 straight SBs, winning 2

The 1970s Cowboys who appeared in 5 SBs, winning only 2.

The 1982-1991 Redskins who won 3 SBs and lost another in that era under Joe Gibbs.

The 1976-1983 Raiders who won 3 SBs in 8 years

The 1920s Canton/Cleveland Bulldogs who won 3 straight titles (perhaps because they are considered separate franchises...even though they had the same coach and many of the same players)

The 2005 to current Steelers who won 2 SBs and lost another.

Should any of these in the latter group be moved to the upper group to be officially considered a "Dynasty"?

Reply to Dynasty, Or Dallas? on Tue, 27 Sep 2011 17:06:14 GMT

@<bdi>represent</bdi> said:
