Qtr 1 ~6:10 mark Unnecessary Roughness on Bengals SS, R. Nelson (5-11, 206) for "Blow to head of defenseless receiver"

BULLSHIT...

It was right shoulder to the sternum of a TE, Owen Daniels (6-3, 247) who outweighed the SS by 41 pounds...

And the ass-hat "color commentator" over-voicing the reply extends the area to the include "the neck" as the replay shows there was NO contact to the head...

Great no call, but lousy consistency.

Crew made up for geeting the above right with that "love tap" to the helmet in the end-zone with 0:16 to go in the half. Even Collinsworth wondered aloud about the state of the game with that one. Earned it a big, old BS call #2.

....

May or may not have been #3 when Brees did that 4th and 1 jump stretch for the first... Since when has the first down strip been like the goal line???

I understand forward progress and all that, but if a receiver is past the first down mark and retreats to short of it and is tackled, there's no first down... Why then would a leaping stretch out of the ball that is subsequently reeled in by the ball "carrier" before he is downed short of the 1st down marker be a first down???

If the call wasn't BS, the rule is...

Tour2ma
