Or Trade Only With The Browns?

Interesting thoughts in this article. If the Rams really want Claiborn... they trade with the Browns. I do disagree on one thing -

the Browns wouldn't have to give up their #22 this year.... but a #1 next year, which is the only other #1 the Redskins have anyways.

And, if the Rams do trade with Washington... the Browns may very well nab Claiborn. Interesting, eh?

Or Trade Only With The Browns? on Sat, 03 Mar 2012 06:03:14 GMT

All these articles are making my head spin! And the draft is still so far into the future. I read another article that implied a conspiracy between Cleveland and Washington to hold back on the bidding for the #2 pick. Anyway, I would love for the Browns to get RG3 but if I were in their shoes, I would be reluctant to give up additional first round picks. The team can add 4 quality starters in the first couple of rounds of the draft this year and we need them badly - perhaps more than we need a QB. All I ask for is two solid FA signings that are also starters.

With a bit of luck, we sign Hills and Steinbach comes back healthy, then all we need are 1)RT, 2)DE; 3)DB; 4)FB; 5)OLB; 6(WR). I'm OK with Claiborn at #4 if RG3 does not fall. And there wlll be plenty of WR with our other first round pick or even our second round pick - but I prefer a FA wide receiver. Can you imagine our D with two more 1st round draft choices (DB and DE)?

So maybe we look to next year for the QB. Perhaps Colt will elevate his level of play this year? But I also trust H&H. If they bet the farm on RG3, then he must be worth it - and I'm OK with that too.

Frenchie
