Delay of game is far too often used to run the clock down with the game on the line. Penalty should be yardage, loss of down, & expired time put back on the clock. That violation is either intentional or being ill prepared & should cost the down...after all, it was wasted.

I don't like Hockey shootouts and the fact that winner gets a win but the loser gets an OT ... makes the standings unbalanced and stupid. And, for the love of God, can we not just wave a guy over if we want to intentionally walk him?

I have an Edwards 17 jersey. I also have an old Jerome Bettis jersey but when he was with the Rams. Its sucks only because he ended up playing for the Steelers.

I have not been stupid enough to buy a Browns player's jersey. If I were stupid enough it would probably be #32. I have been stupid enough however to buy a Browns pancho on the beach in Puerto Vallarta.

I just named the two most aggregious rules in my view in my example.

In my opinion college basketball should adopt the baseball rule: if you want to go to the pros right out of HS, declare that. But if you go to college then you must stay for at least 3 years.

But, the college football OT rules are the biggest abomination is sport.

i've only been to one Arena Football game. i'll never go again until they get rid of the rule that one offensive player is allowed to run towards the line of scrimmage before the snap. It takes the defense out of the game. In that one game that i attended, there were 7 touchdowns in the first 7 possessions. That's when i left (before halftime).

OTOH, i do like the rule were fans are allowed to lean in and break up a pass. That cracked me up.
