It's a graph designed for people who don't know what it says so that they'll think it means something it doesn't.

Mission accomplished, apparently.

In other words, you can easily show employment or job creation graphs, but they don't tell you the story that Republicans want to sell. They show a slowly improving economy and employment picture. So what do you do then? You show people a graph of changes to the labor force, which are largely demographic. Because that looks more like what you want it to look like.
