Here is this week's trivia on our upcoming opponent...though, yes, I know, Browns have a bye week. See what you can do:

Final Answers:

1. What is the Browns/Cowboys head to head regular season record? (margin of error)

Browns lead 15-11

2. What have been the result of Browns/Cowboys postseason games?

The Browns and Cowboy met in the postseason in 3 consecutive years pre-merger:

1967 Cowboys 52 Browns 14

1968 Browns 31 Cowboys 20

1969 Browns 38 Cowboys 17

3. What former Cowboy player was once a contestant on Survivor?

I was thinking of Gary Hogeboom, but then I was reminded of Jimmy Johnson...and the other guy.

(by the way, it was former MLB MVP Jeff Kent who got kicked of the Island this week)

4. What former Browns player led the Cowboys in passing in 2004?

Vinny Testaverde in like his 20th season in the league.

5. What former Browns player led the Cowboys in rushing 4 times?

Calvin Hill

6. How many seasons did Tom Landry coach the Cowboys before having a winning season?

Six seasons!

1960 0-11-1

1961 4-9

1962 3-8-1

1963 4-10-1

1964 5-8-1

1965 7-7

Could you imagine a coach lasting 6 years and surviving never having a winning record these days?

7. When did the Dallas team call Northeast Ohio its home?

In 1952 the ill fated Dallas Texans left Dallas to play their home games in the Akron Rubber Bowl. They folded after one year of operation. They are in fact the last NFL/AFL franchise to have folded. (Teams have moved and changed names, but not fold)

8. What player that had the same name as a famous TV character make the Pro Bowl with the Cowboys?

Cowboy Kicker Richie Cunningham! His holder was a guy name Arthur Fonzarelli, but he never made the Pro Bowl.

9. Which former Cowboy was famous for putting a pinch between his cheek and gum?

Walt Garrison of course in his commercial for Skoal.

(and Earl Campbell uttered "Skoal, brother).

10. Besides the player noted in Q#5, there was also one other former Browns player that made the Pro Bowl as a member of the Cowboys. Name him. (probably a 10 on the difficulty scale)

Yea, this was a hard one. Kicker Sam Baker played a couple of years with the Browns while Lou Groza took a breather from kicking. But when Lou the Toe came back, Sam Baker went on to the Cowboys and did make a Pro Bowl for them. (the other Cowboy Pro Bowler that played for the Browns was Calvin Hill)

11. Who was the first ever draft pick of the Dallas Cowboys franchise?

Bob Lilly in the 1961 NFL draft. I had to scratch my head because the Cowboys started in 1960....but apparently did not participate in the 1960 NFL draft.

12. People say, perhaps rightly, that the 1974 Steelers draft which produced 4 Hall of Famers was the greatest in history. Arguably, second place belongs to the Cowboys 1964 draft, which produced 3 Hall of Famers. Name the 3 HOFers drafted by the Cowboys in 1964.

Roger Staubach in like the 10th round. Bob Hayes, and Mel Renfro, cornerback. All played the majority of their careers with the Cowboys.

Bonus. Besides the '74 Steelers and the '64 Cowboys, only one other team has ever drafted as many as 3 Hall of Fame players in the same draft. Name the team and the year of that other 3 HOFer draft.

It was the Browns 1957 draft that netted Jim Brown, Gene Hickerson...and Henry Jordan...but of course Jordan was let go somehow and played his HOF career with the Packers.
