1. In one of my recent trivias I noted that the CFL HOF allows the (living) inducted members of their HOF to have a vote on who joins them in the HOF. Would you like to see our PFHOF allow the same thing? Similar to the past Heisman Trophy winners having a Heisman ballot? Right now it is just like a 46 man/woman panel of sportswriters/broadcasters that get the vote.

2. If you got news that you were going to die, but in the rest of your life you were told you could only take 5 more vacation trips, which 5 destinations would you choose?

3. Speculation has been rampant that LeBron James could actually return to Cleveland after his current deal with Miami is up in summer 2014. Would you be willing to accept him back here?

4. After the hiring of Francona, the signings of Swisher and Borne and others there actually seems to be some sign of life from the heretofore moribund Cleveland Indians. Do you think optimism is justified?

Yes, let's get some people voting that have actually played the game.

2. If you got news that you were going to die, but in the rest of your life you were told you could only take 5 more vacation trips, which 5 destinations would you choose?

Paris

Amsterdam

Hawaii

Los Angelas

Australia

3. Speculation has been rampant that LeBron James could actually return to Cleveland after his current deal with Miami is up in summer 2014. Would you be willing to accept him back here?

Yes. He's the best player in the league, with my only possible argument being Kevin Durant. He and Kyrie would be formidable tandem.

4. After the hiring of Francona, the signings of Swisher and Borne and others there actually seems to be some sign of life from the heretofore moribund Cleveland Indians. Do you think optimism is justified?

No. Overpaid for them. We gave up our second and third round picks for 4 years of these guys. Draft picks are different in the MLB than the NFL, but I hate losing the picks. Not to mention between Stubbs, Swisher, Bourne and Mark Reynolds, they had over a combine 600 strikeouts between them.

5. In fairly recent years we have had tsunamis, earthquakes, bad hurricanes, bad tornadoes, and meteorites blowing up in the atmosphere. Sign of the apocalypse? Or just entertaining weather developments?

Entertaining weather developments

Yes. Those who have played with great success can better evaluate those who played after them.

2. If you got news that you were going to die, but in the rest of your life you were told you could only take 5 more vacation trips, which 5 destinations would you choose?

1. Rio for Carnival

2. Barbados

3. Notre Dame Stadium for a Saturday game

4 NCAA Mens Final Four Weekend

5. French Riviera

3. Speculation has been rampant that LeBron James could actually return to Cleveland after his current deal with Miami is up in summer 2014. Would you be willing to accept him back here?

Hell yea. I can forgive and forget. The new NBA CBA will force the Heat to dismantle what they have now. But, with the way LB has been lighting it up this

season I can't see them cutting LB loose.

4. After the hiring of Francona, the signings of Swisher and Borne and others there actually seems to be some sign of life from the heretofore moribund Cleveland Indians. Do you think optimism is justified?

I think so but lets see how I feel after spring training.

5. In fairly recent years we have had tsunamis, earthquakes, bad hurricanes, bad tornadoes, and meteorites blowing up in the atmosphere. Sign of the apocalypse? Or just entertaining weather developments?

Earthquakes and tsunamis and meteorites are not weather related. tornadoes seem to be increasing in intensity and the upswing in damaging 'canes can be directly related to the rise in temperature of the seas, the Gulf Stream in particular. as long as my ass is not directly involved in any these activities they can be interesting and entertaining to follow and study.

Here is today's survey questions. Give your opinions.

My own opinions:

I think it would be interesting to do it this way. the present system would have to be restructured. They could probably not just hold a single, small meeting before the Super Bowl the way they do now. They would probably have to have some mail in/online secure type voting procedure.

One thing that I wouldn't change necessarily is the process of having 2 "Senior Nominees" and also limiting the other inductees to 5 (7 total). I wouldn't want 15-20 guys voted in in one year.

Though....these HOF members are pretty protective of who they keep company with. They might think that no one should join them because no one was ever as good as them. Who knows.

2. If you got news that you were going to die, but in the rest of your life you were told you could only take 5 more vacation trips, which 5 destinations would you choose?

Yea, I guess you could cheat on this and say "I want a year long trip to Europe, a year long trip to Asia, a year in Africa, a year in S. America.

If I had to limit it to 5 week or 10 day trips I think I might go for the following:

1 trip to combine Paris and the French Riviera

1 trip to Venice/Florence/Rome

1 trip to New York City to see and do some things I haven't done there yet.

1 elongated trip to 5 Alaska National Parks that I haven't been to.

1 trip to England to see family.

3. Speculation has been rampant that LeBron James could actually return to Cleveland after his current deal with Miami is up in summer 2014. Would you be willing to accept him back here?

I probably would....because in my mind he still needs to fulfill his promise to "bring a championship to my home town". With Kyrie Irving and the other good young players on this team...plus hopefully a stud in this year's draft, the one thing the Cavs could still desperately need to make them a contender is a player with LeBrons skill set. Since he may in fact be the best player in the game n/w/s the fact that he may be a complete asshole he would still probably be the best player available when that time comes in 2014..

4. After the hiring of Francona, the signings of Swisher and Borne and others there actually seems to be some sign of life from the heretofore moribund Cleveland Indians. Do you think optimism is justified?

I think they could/should be a contender in the AL Central at least. The Tigers may seem better....but only incrementally perhaps.

But....these are the Cleveland Indians....and Pessimism is their middle name.

5. In fairly recent years we have had tsunamis, earthquakes, bad hurricanes, bad tornadoes, and meteorites blowing up in the atmosphere. Sign of the apocalypse? Or just entertaining weather developments?

OK, no poxyclips (word courtesy of Mad Max/Thunderdome). And of course the people caught up in the tsunamis, hurricanes, meteor blasts etc. don't find all that entertaining. But, I think climate change is real and there will probably be severe storms in the future.

2. If you got news that you were going to die, but in the rest of your life you were told you could only take 5 more vacation trips, which 5 destinations would you choose?

I would start off with a tropical Island, let's say St. Maarten.

Then off to visit the motherland, Ireland.

Then jump over to Mainland Europe and take a Eurorail trip around to the all the Western European countries for as long as I was allowed.

Then I would get a great place in downtown Cleveland and catch a 2 or 3 game homestand and fly in all of my Browns fan friends for fun and frivolity.

and I would finish with my favorite place, Hawaii.

3. Speculation has been rampant that LeBron James could actually return to Cleveland after his current deal with Miami is up in summer 2014. Would you be willing to accept him back here?

Maybe. He's lost a lot of my respect, but if the Cavs could use his services to win a championship I might be OK with that. Depends on the makeup of the team at the time. The problem with Lebron is that it becomes all about Lebron

4. After the hiring of Francona, the signings of Swisher and Borne and others there actually seems to be some sign of life from the heretofore moribund Cleveland Indians. Do you think optimism is justified?

Yes, I think they are going to be annual contenders in the American League again (and I'm unbiased in this regard ... no real favorite team in MLB)
