It will depend on how good his workouts go and who is paying attention. Most likely he will be a Undrafted Free Agent. But This class is short on QB's and the FA options aren't any better. Do you want David Gerard, or Eric Carr, or do you want to take a shot on a 24 year old with your 7th round pick or convince him to come in after the draft. Either way the Browns should be paying attention and looking for a QB on the cheap like this. If they took this kid and he pans out you just hit the lottery. If not what did you really lose. Without the off the field issues this kid is a 4 year starter at Virginia. If so we are most likely talking a first or second round pick. He started as a true freshman.

Well, the Ravens took Flacco out of Delaware- if the Browns think the guy has a shot, why not? 7th round picks usually don't make it in the NFL anyway.

hoorta

Reply to Our Next Qb? on Wed, 06 Mar 2013 17:23:28 GMT

@<bdi>browns57</bdi> said:

Yea, but some yabos on hear might cry about him being "too old" at 24 to bring in, eh?

The Gipper

Reply to Our Next Qb? on Wed, 06 Mar 2013 17:14:00 GMT

@<bdi>the-gipper</bdi> said:

Will this guy be drafted? Or become a street FA?

Well IUP did miss a 30 yard FG, AND let them recover an onside kick, so he did have a little help.
