Miami is our first opponent. They are going to be practicing in some heat. You don't want them in better shape than us, so march our guys out there when it is as hot as possible.

I also think it could help with injuries. If someone gets nicked, they start the preliminary treatment on the spot, then have all the next day to see how it responds....the player might not have to miss a session where if they practiced at 9am, they probably hold him out of that.

This could also be an effort to promote the team. Seems to me it is a little easier for someone to get out of work a hour or two early to go watch practice then pretty much have to take the day off to catch a practice.

ballpeen

Reply to Browns 2013 Training Camp Schedule on Tue, 23 Jul 2013 16:58:30 GMT

4:00 starts for training seems quite unusual. I understand that it is NOT being done to avoid the heat of the day, but because they want to spend the morning on intense classroom study, the early afternoon on walkthroughs, then do the heavy lifting in the later afternoon.

Has anyone ever heard of doing it like this? Do you think it will help?

The Gipper
