Of course the Browns O line is ranked just a couple notches below the steelers in terms of sacks allowed, and the Pgh D got their due 5 sacks in against the 5th worst O line in the NFL. Our defense couldn't muster ONE FUCKING SACK against the 3rd worst O line in the NFL. This was supposed to be a stat day for our D. We're not set on our front 7, we're just not. The only ballers we have there are on the D line. I don't know what the problem is. Is our secondary allowing the qb's to get rid of the ball too quick? Is it a scheme thing? Is Horton asking our pass rush to get there too quickly by having our secondary play too soft? Or are the edge guys just not that good? We're paying kruger 8m, he was supposed to be one of the "elite" OLB talents in the NFL. He's not a noob either, he had a few years to study in Blt. Is he gonna get any better? Sheard hasn't exactly put out either. Isn't his rookie contract up this year? He hasnt' exactly played himself into a shiny new contract extension but I might give him one more year cause he had to make the switch from DE to OLB. MIngo looks like he's gonna be a situational pass rusher possibly his whole career. He might be better served as the Will in a 4-3 where he can pick his blitz spots.

I'm really not trying to be "too" down on the browns D cause we did do good things this year as a whole, but there are still some holes that may need addressed in FA or the draft.

Reply to not one sack against the 3rd worst O line in the NFL on Mon, 25 Nov 2013 18:51:26 GMT

Well, FSG, nice of you to drop in and gloat after the fact.

I hate the squeelers, and most squeeler fans who act like you.

That's all. Even the ratbird fans at the tailgate...they hate you worse, maybe.

Although, it's probably a tie.

I've already said before the game that the squeelers had been losing because

they didn't cheapshot qb's out of games, and olinestruggles. Add to that,

our qb, the one who has a brain and a heart to match to be qb.... is hurt.

And Lewis is hurt. And, with the Browns having little running game going...

the weather made it tougher.

The squeelers just went to a quick wr screen thing. It worked. Don't plan

on it working every week, that's all.

And bent rothlicksbooger is just a sasquatch behind fast, get open receivers.

And again, our qb was taken out of the game. Like the cheapshot, most notably,

vs Cincy when they took out their qb asap.

What goes around, comes around. Eventually.

But I'm sure that whatever gay site you come from, will ban Browns fans from showing

You hate him because he always beats you - the only time the Browns have beaten him was when he was playing very hurt.

The highlight of your 2011 season was the severe high ankle sprain that effectively ruined the Steelers playoff chances in a 12-4 season; it possibly cost the Steelers another Super Bowl and your radio stations were full of callers celebrating it as if it were 1986 and the Browns/Kosar were about to play Denver in the AFC Championship.

You wanted him to be guilty of sexual assault, even though he was innocent, (although you would never let the facts get in the way of your opinion) - which is disgusting. You wanted a rape to have occured just because he is a Quarterback of a rival team - shows where your priorities in life are.

And you hate him because he was sitting right there at pick #7 in 2004 - with no need to have the Matt Millen led Detriot Lions fleece you out of a 2nd round pick; and he was an Ohio born and raised Quarterback but your organization chose to go with a TE who is hanging onto his career by a thread with the Jets

Honestly, if the top 2 or 3 qb prospects are off the board I don't want to spend yet another first round on a "maybe/maybe not" qb. I only want to spend the 1st pick on someone who will start opening day, a guy close to what Luck is. And that will take a hell of a football brain, one i'm not sure is there with these prospects next year. Athletically yes, the tools are all there but year after year we see guys come out with all the tools but they just simply can't handle the big league. I dunno....like i said if those top guys are gone and there's an offensive lineman that will start opening day...like another JT, than take that. Or take Clowney if just to keep him away from the other AFC north teams. I really like what I see from Clowney though, he handles the run as well as he pass rushes.

I think you'll be surprised at how much better our receivers play when we get a good QB in there.

Anybody notice how Weeden's first pass was to a wide open Cameron, yet was thrown at about 375 MPH? Weeden is the antithesis of an NFL QB. He's all that is wrong with the world. He's the opposite of Batman.

Tim Couch Pulls Out

Reply to not one sack against the 3rd worst O line in the NFL on Sun, 24 Nov 2013 22:18:12 GMT

How many WR screens did the stoolers throw? The sacks are simply because:

1. Rapistbooger got the ball out, FAST. And the wr's are tall, and owens and skrine

are midgets.

2. They threw all over Carder, and sorry, Buster fans,

but Skrine is too freakin short, and often finds himself

out of position to boot. He's a great special teams player,

and occasional nickle back, depending.

3. They played to the Browns weakness - throwing quickly, and

using the weather to pound on a couple of the Browns' linebackers.

calfoxwc

Reply to not one sack against the 3rd worst O line in the NFL on Sun, 24 Nov 2013 22:07:53 GMT

We have a good-to-great WR, a decent TE, and a decent CD.
