<![CDATA[Epic Fails]]>I have compiled the biggest busts (from a career productions standpoint) of first round draft choices for every years since the common draft began in 1966.

Thus, here are the 2-3-4 biggest busts of every first round since then through the 2010 draft. I did not believe it fair to judge the few recent drafts quite yet:

Dick Leftridge RB Pitt/ Mike Dennis RB Buff

Jim Detweiler RB Colts/ Harry Jones RB Phil.

Eldridge Dickey WR Oak./Mike Hall RB Chic.

Jim Seymour WR Rams/Greg Cook QB Cin.

Robert Shaw OC Cowboys/Willis Adams WR Browns

Vagas Ferguson RB Pats/Junior Miller TE Falcons

Rich Campbell QB Packers/David Overstreet RB Dolphins

Art Schlichter QB Colts/Perry Tuttle WR Bills

Gabe Rivera DT Steelers/Tony Hunter TE Bills

Billy Cannon Jr. LB Cowboys/Clyde Duncan WR Rams

Kevin Allen OT Eagles/Daryl Sims DE Steelers

Brian Jozwiak OG Chiefs/Bob Bucakowski DE Colts

Reggie Rogers DE Lions/Kelly Stouffer QB Cards/Mike Junkin LB Browns/Shawn Knight DE Saints

Ted Gregory DT Broncos/Clifford Charlton LB Browns

Hart Lee Dykes WR Pats/Bill Hawkins DE Rams

Andre Ware QB Lions/Percy Snow LB Chiefs

Huey Richardson LB Steelers/Dan McGwire QB Seattle/Todd Marinovich QB Oak/ Bruce Pickens DB Falcons

Derek Brown TE Giants/Tony Smith RB Falcons

Leonard Renfro DT Eagles/Todd Kelly LB 49ers

Trev Alberts LB Colts/Heath Shuler QB Redskins

Craig Powell LB Browns/Trezelle Jenkins OT Chiefs

Andre T. Johnson OT Redskins/Jamain Stephens OT Steelers

Jim Druckenmiller QB 49ers/Yatil Green WR Dolphins

Ryan Leaf QB Chargers/Marcus Nash WR Broncos

Akili Smith QB Bengals/Reggie McGrew DT 49ers/Dimitrious Underwood DT Vikings/Cade McNown QB Bears

R.J. Soward WR Jaguars/Rhashard Anderson DB Panthers

Jamal Reynolds DE Packers/Willie Middlebrooks DB Broncos

Wendell Bryant DT Cards/Mike Rumph DB 49ers

Jerome McDougle DE Eagles/Charles Rogers WR Lions

Rashaun Woods WR 49ers/Chris Perry RB Bengals

David Pollack LB Bengals/ Erasmus Jones DE Vikings

John McCargo DT Bills/Tye Hill DB Rams

Brady Quinn QB Browns/Justin Harrell DT Packers/Jarvus Moss DE Broncos/Jamarcus Russell QB Raiders

Vernon Gholston DE Jets/Kentwan Balmer DT 49ers

Aaron Maybin DE Bills/Larry English LB Chargers

Brandon Graham DE Eagles/Jerry Hughes DE Colts

This is done without weighting for what position these first rounder were selected. Sure a Courtney Brown say in 2000 seems like a bigger bust because he was #1 overall....but the guys mentioned for that year really, truly had lousier careers than him even.

Edit note: I have bolded the Browns bad picks. I have italicized those of the other AFCN teams.

Aaron curry???

Like I said, there may in fact be guys that had worse careers than the guys that you hear about. Though Curry may have been bad, apparently there were a couple of guys in that first round that were worse.
