The hot coordinator of the week, the next greatest college coach ever.......No thanks. I want a proven, well respected guy, and to me, that's Lovie Smith.

He was wrongly fired last year and has been out of football for a year, and I'm betting he has a serious chip on his shoulder and wants to come back with a vengeance.

I don't think so. They had 7 playoff appearances under Bledsoe, and still looked respectable with Cassel under center.

Kruger and Sheard would be out in that scheme...not fast enough. If you're basically putting DL's on the edge...than extra pressure comes in the form of blitzes so that's when a kid like Mingo makes more sense. Kruger especially is too slow to be moving around in space.
