<p>In all of the cases in this millennium, excluding Jackson (Mora, Rhodes, Mularkey, Cameron, Petrino, Shell), the next coach instantly improved the teams record the next season.</p>

<p>In three of the cases (Mora, Petrino, Cameron), the team made it to the playoffs the following year. <p><span style="color:#8b4513"><strong>Marty is the only one that went one to have further success in the NFL, as he did a nice job with the Chargers.</strong></span></p>

<p><span style="color:#8b4513"><strong>Oh and Monte Clark,who went on to coach a decent Lions team.</strong></span></p>

<p><span style="color:#8b4513"><strong>As I recall, Clark was fired not for performance, but because new ownership came in and he refused to yield the power he had been given by the previous administration.</strong></span></p>
