I find WWII tanks and planes very interesting.<br /><br />Saw it yesterday, and enjoyed it. It doesn't break any new grounds and it's not Saving Private Ryan, but It did a good job showing how outclassed the American tanks were at the end of the war against the Tiger tanks Germany was using. Apocalypse Now was interesting but I thought it would have been more surreal had the setting been  ww2 as originally proposed.</p>

I'm not a huge fan of war movies but there are excellent ones. Also WW2 is much more interesting on a scale of wars that some of the more recent.</p>
<p>Likely because the more recent the war the more the producers tend to politicize.</p>
