  • But the QB implodes down the stretch
  • And team misses the playoffs
  • The result: Extended contract for the head coach and QB is handed the starting job the following season.

In 2008,

  • The Jets have a winning season
  • But the QB implodes down the stretch
  • And team misses the playoffs
  • The result: Fire the head coach and the QB is run out of town on a rail.

In 2009,

  • The Browns hire the Jets fired head coach
  • The Jets are considering the Browns imploding QB.

You can't make this stuff up.
