There's zero reason to assert someone "has autism" until you rule out social anxiety.

Social anxiety is very real... and very debilitating, and yet also able to be completely worked through. And the SYMPTOMS are 100% the same as what is asserted to be the result of asbergers.

Furthermore, a person could be "unable to change" because they're experiencing depression... and social anxiety exacerbates that condition.

As well, a diagnosis of asbergers results in a judgement/exclusion of that person by a social group. I could easily see how spreading the rumor of autism/asbergers about someone would be a way to ruin their life.. if the person was only nervous and just needed encouraging.

Does the person want to make change and isn't physically capable? Is the person dysphoric/depressed?

Unless you know this information, you can't say he's anything other than socially awkward. Unfortunately, mental health is extremely nuanced and does not lend itself to quick categorization.

Second, Dilfer had same stance following the MNF game. He and Ray Lewis were both solidly behind Hoyer. Young started off leaning Manziel, but Dilfer actually argued Young into starting BH. Key factor was could always change to JM if need be, but could not go the other way.

Sure- Hoyer's qbr and completion % are at the bottom of the starting qbs. However- his situational stats aren't. This is the sort of stuff teams pay the metrics gurus big bucks to have. So- Hoyer happens to have the highest late game qbr IN THE NFL. He leads the league in 4th quarter winning drives. He has a better 3rd down completion percentage than Ben Rothlisberger. One of his interceptions against the Bills was a pass thrown exactly where it was supposed to be, and Gordon ran the wrong route. 10-4 as a starter. He has most of the team still believing in him.

You can bet Pettine will think long and hard about those factoids before he hands the reins over to JFF. FWIW, MHO is I think he will- or have Brian on a very short leash. Unlike you, Mike isn't willing to toss the season in the toilet just to see if Johnny has got "it".
