Here is a set of Trivia that I call The Good The Bad and the Ugly of Browns drafts.

Answers:

1. Needless to say the last few drafts have been seemingly very poor for the Browns with Gilbert, Manziel, Mingo, Weeden, Richardson, McFadden....all being very questionable. Half of those have been outta here in fact. Here are the questions:

A. Gilbert and Weeden came via Oklahoma St. Name two decent players the Browns have drafted out of OK St. in their history.

Jerry Sherk and Chris Rockins ....are there others?

B. JMZ came via Texas A&M. Name two decent players the Browns drafted out of Texas A&M in their history

Cody Risien, Robert Jackson (Linebacker), Keith Baldwin

C. Mingo came via LSU. Name any decent players the Browns have drafted out of LSU in history

Sparse....best names I could come up with: John Garlington LB, Clinton Burrell DB, John DeMarie OC, Ken Konz DB from the 50s

D. McFadden cam via San Diego St. Name two decent players the Browns drafted out of SDSU.

Brian Sipe, Wester Slaughter.....or possibly Pio Sagapoulatele.

E. Trent Richardson came via Alabama. Name two decent players the Browns drafted out of Alabama.

Ozzie Newsome, Antonio Langham

2. The Browns had an 8 year period in which they did not draft a single player that ever made a Pro Bowl. Name the appox. years this happened.....and name the players they drafted that made the PB before and after this streak occurred.

In actuality, it was an 11 year stretch because the Browns "inactive period" came right in the middle of it. In 1991 the Browns drafted Eric Turner who made the Pro Bowl. They did not draft another player to make a Pro Bowl until they drafted Ryan Pontbriand in 2003....and he was a long snapper. (they drafted K2 the following year). So in 1992/93/94/95/99/00/01/02 they did not draft a single Pro Bowl caliber player.

No wonder they have played so poorly.

(I believe that Mark Lombardi was responsible for the first few stretch of years there)

3. There are three years in Browns history however in which they drafted multiple persons that made the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Name the years and the HOF players taken those years.

1953 Browns draft Doug Atkins, and Chuck Noll (HOF careers of either not affiliated with Browns though)

1957 Jim Brown, Gene Hickerson, Henry Jordan

1964 Paul Warfield, Leroy Kelly

4. What does this list represent: John Carroll, Tennessee, Grambling, Ole Miss, Syracuse, Virginia, Illinois, Ohio St. Morgan St. Alabama

These are the colleges from which the Browns drafted future Hall of Famers. Ohio St. is the only multiple HOF school...with Dick LeBeau and Paul Warfield.

5. Excluding last year's draft (2014) and going back to 1970, which 5 Browns First round draft picks using the PFR Career production Average are the biggest busts?

Least productive Browns first round picks: 1. Craig Powell 2. Brady Quinn 3.t Mike Junkin 3t. Clifford Charlton 5. Willis Adams

7. The NFL draft is now only 7 rounds. Again, using the PFR career production stat....which 3 players that were taken in round 8 or later have been the best draft picks in those late rounds?

In order: 1. Leroy Kelly 2. Ernest Byner 3. Brian Sipe (followed by Cody Risien and Jack Gregory)

8. Since 1950 from which 3 colleges have the Browns drafted the most players....in all rounds?

Ohio State: 32, Purdue 22 Michigan St. 20. Next most are Michigan 17 and USC/Nebraska/Baylor each with 16 (and this does not include Supp draft)
