I laughed to myself when I saw this on SC this morning because I knew the thread would pop up. Aging elite players don't want to play for lower end teams, it hardly ever happens when they are still useful.

My bet is the Seahawks or Ravens.

jrb12711

Reply to Andre Johnson on Tue, 03 Mar 2015 17:05:30 GMT

Apparently the texans have told him they'll cut him if they don't get an offer, so it won't take much in a trade.
Well, Austin came as a FA......Johnson would have to be traded for.

I assume he is under contract, so the Browns would have to pay that number. It is what we would have to give up that worries me.

I might be more interested in getting the next Andre Johnson in this draft.

The Gipper

Reply to Andre Johnson on Tue, 03 Mar 2015 15:53:39 GMT

I'd take Austin year 2 over Andre year 1.

Tour2ma

Reply to Andre Johnson on Tue, 03 Mar 2015 11:18:26 GMT

AJ's days of getting big pay days may be done, but he will be the hard one to convince. This one may go awhile. Great hands cause their Huge. From shoulder's down the man cannot stay on field due to injuries, he's still strong but the only way he gets open is to push off. 34, legs gone no speed (hammys and knees), only will practice Thurs. or Fri. Texans got his prime years but know I bet they glad to see him go.. Just more money for JJ Watt.

gumby73

Reply to Andre Johnson on Tue, 03 Mar 2015 10:03:07 GMT

Exactly - if he comes here on the same exact deal as Austin, and is healthy, then sure, but what are the chances of that?
