If braylon performs as poorly as he did last year which is most likely since he seems to be in the top of the league in drops every season can we we really afford to go through an entire season with sanders, steptoe, braylon, and hubbard? I'm not exactly saying we should take him or that he's a lock at #5 but without some kind of reliable top receiver in our corps it makes taking a linebacker seem a little less significant. i really don't think we have much of a chance for Holt (i think he's probably looking more for a team that has better playoff potential than money). what's your thoughts?

Reply to Michael Crabtree on Mon, 16 Mar 2009 20:01:09 GMT

@<bdi>ytownbrownsbacker</bdi> said:
Edwards is a great talent and I don't care what team he played for in college. i read the board off and on from time to time and although i have read you bash Edwards before i did not know you were a fan of the OS until this very moment. i didn't say you have an axe to grind because you are a fan, but because you are grinding axes IMO--i calls em like i sees em. but for the record sorry for wrongfully accusing you if in fact i am wrong about it.

what gives you the impression Edwards feels he's owed something? when did he say he wanted to be the face of the team? wow Ytown you seem to be generalizing quite a bit about people donchathink? the only reason i could see him "bolting from CLE" is if he heard people like you saying things like that.

trying to make a dream a reality? and i'm not saying that because i found out you like the OS.

We can always spend one of those second round picks on a WR, who knows maybe Robiskie will still be around.

Mr. T

Reply to Michael Crabtree on Sun, 15 Mar 2009 21:32:06 GMT

If stallworth comes out of this smellin like a rose i got news fer ya...we still dont have any WRs..

Gips

Reply to Michael Crabtree on Sun, 15 Mar 2009 20:54:13 GMT

mz. said:
JJ has had 50 knee surgeries and is 40 years old.

He's actually only 34 ( )which, I admit is old, but he is still good enough to continue playing. Hell, Randy Moss is 32! Oh, we better fire his wrinkly, senile behind before he dies of old age right there on the feild!

Joe was healthy enough physically to continue playing and even publicly stated that he was more than ready to come back. Besides... do you really think we can afford to look for ANOTHER WR now that Stallworth is likely out of the picture?

DeadWombat

Reply to Michael Crabtree on Sun, 15 Mar 2009 20:34:42 GMT

@<bdi>deadwombat</bdi> said:
Granted, I am not saying this as confidently as I was before JJ was released....
