<p>Interesting article.  </p>

<p>Never liked the "Hair Band' style of music.  Of course, there are smattering of songs I kind of like however.</p>

<p>This is a good article for analytics and, perhaps, for songwriters, critics, etc.</p>

<p>IMHO, however, it is difficult - if not impossible - to put "Hi Tech" analysis against something as "Hi Touch" as becoming emotionally attached to something like music.</p>

<p>This article also does not take into account what was going on in the macro environment that might have significantly shaped appetites for certain music genres or types.</p>
