Just for Nick Saban, who dominates the SEC (especially when Auburn & LSU aren't up being the only teams capable of challenging that in the absence of Urban Meyer). It was always more challenging for Nick Saban, which is why I feltcompelled to give his records above when he needed departsies from Big 10 to Big Easy. Just out of curiosity, who ended Alabama's season last year? Not for nothing, if the SEC is so tough - you might want to tell Mizzou that because they've already made 2 Conference Championship Games in their first 3 seasons. Maybe the Rochester Rattlers or some Arena Football Team has room for his conference elite pass rushing skills. This way you can War up he's still playing pro football pal and I'll be as speechless as I deserve to be. When the best sic em, sock em and sack em of your conference wants to wear rainbow colored wrist bands on game day - I'm not buying how invincible that conference is from top to bottom any more.

My bad for temporarily drifting off the subject heading because this is a great thread. A lot of areas on the Browns to get excited about from oline to dline to LBer Corps to RB to secondary to punter in charge of flipping field position. I know I went on record wanting some size on the perimeter for our red zone; but some our small framed WRs had some nice stories unfolding last year before Josh Gordon destroyed the chemistry, continuity and momentum. We've talked a lot about the seasons Gabriel and Hawkins had going before Gabriel lost considerable reps.

What Mud's attempting to do in this thread - is increase our awareness of some good things flying under the radar so we're not joining the guys posting they'd rather hibernate or hang out with ostriches during football season. In particular, we all noticed Benjamin lost his art in the return game post injury. BUT this thread wants us to realize he sported 17.4 yards per catch and where that ranked in the league. This is a good place to piggyback in he led ALL our WRs with 3 TD receptions in part time duty. He quietly became a much improved WR that was key to our big comeback W here in Nashville. Another reason we could overcome a 28-3 halftime deficit on the road is because Taylor Gabriel got behind the coverage down the numbers on the right side of the field in a game changing moment I'll never forget. That's an example of how he could end up averaging 17.3 yards per catch. Now that we added size to go with our quick smaller framed receivers - we have WRs for every situation moving forward.

I know I would have gotten my screen name right. Rumor has it if a football player at LSU can spell his name right on a test - he gets 20 points added to his test score. He gets another 20 points for showing up and another 10 points if he decides to take his own test. That's how a Mo Claiborne gets Mo score and why a Les Smiles doesn't ever seem to want any part of relocating to the Missedagain Wolverines. He already saw why Nick Saban had to bolt from the Big 10 to the Big Easy leaving behind the following records at MSU before he became St Nick:

If he did a little better - I would have said that's a helluva John Cooper imitation. I can definitely see why he hand selected 2 situations where he knew he'd get challenged far less frequently in conference. And man was he right!

Back to your trivia, I'm looking forward to seeing the answers. There was a trick question in there because Joe Thomas had a few penalties this year so that scratched him off the no sacks no penalties question. Another good question was what 2 Receivers ranked in the top 10 in ypc. The only reason I knew it was Benjamin and Gabriel at 17.4 ypc and 17.3 ypc was because I made it a point to reference how their speed should help free up Bowe in another post. FWI. Benjamin also led all our WRs with 3 TD receptions. As good as that is for Benjamin, many of us are excited about adding bigger red zone targets like Bowe, Hartline & Mayle. I'm delighted to hear McCown is hooking up deep with our Receivers consistently in camp.
