I don't think this can be understated here. The Rams before Gurley was inserted were almost last in most offensive categories and while it seems he's a good player he dominated the 2nd half. I cringe thinking about this defense will fair against Pitt with Ben back all but likely and the Cincy offense being so strong.

jrb12711

Reply to Did anyone else notice that our defense seemed to be better in the 1st half? on Mon, 26 Oct 2015 14:59:25 GMT

@<bdi>darkside5</bdi> said:

I still say strength and conditioning is the major problem.
ive actually been wanting to make a thread about this. Might as well ask the question here, does each coach bring in his own strength and cond. staff? Or are they hired by the FO and survive multiple coaching changes?

Clevfan4life

Reply to Did anyone else notice that our defense seemed to be better in the 1st half? on Mon, 26 Oct 2015 14:44:08 GMT

I still say strength and conditioning is the major problem. There's no confidence in the team, and (I'm not certain but it seems like) a lack of adjustment.

I don't remember the context of the quote, but it went something like "the browns a re a tough team, they'll play hard, but if you hang in there, eventually they'll find a way to beat themselves" - it seemed last year that we were trying to shake that off. Turns out we just got lucky, playing the NFC south on a down year, and we're returning to normal now.

gftChris

Reply to Did anyone else notice that our defense seemed to be better in the 1st half? on Mon, 26 Oct 2015 14:35:15 GMT

@<bdi>cdl15</bdi> said:

ITen called adjustments and browns defense doesn't ever make any.
