you and the other browns fan are right on w ur points. every single day people of all ages are missing out on having any relief or benefits from cannabis. people w epilepsy, ms, parkinsons, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, arthritis, inflammed joints, glaucoma, mental health benefits, anorexia, insomnia, diabetes, sinus headaches, or the big C, cancer.

its been proposed if cannabis changed federally from a schedule 1 to a 2, the influx of hard evidence from currently unattainable research and studies within 6 months would be so overwhelming every state would legalize within a year. it has also been said, if every state legalized the cancer biz would go under in 3 years. i emphatically agree.

slimdog, your being short-sided. the 10 grow sites paid 9 million EACH to help Ohio get it's head out of it's ass and help people get medicine. it is free market at work, if say cincy's meds were lower quality and/or more expensive than say...cuyahoga falls greenhouse, which employs locals from the area BY THE WAY, then the local dispensary would get it from the best option. ALL 10 ARE IN COMPETITION WITH ONE ANOTHER, NOT OWNED BY ONE. also, if you want strict regulations and consistency in product u need growers that know what the fuck their doing. you cant just start buildibg cars and selling them on the road, right? or making planes. or creating the latest viagra and dole it out. this isnt pot grown in ur basement, its medicibe that you can prescribe dosages of acurately and compare to other meds on the market...not haphazardly just mass produce and wing it.

you have a very greedy, misinformed view on this topic. the only people that lose if issue 3 passes are essentially private prisons, corrections officers, sherrifs, the people still wrongfully jailed on old weed laws and shitty lazy cops who now have to actually do their jobs instead of claiming they smell weed and searching homes and vehicles on whims. the fines they make vs the benefits and influx of $$ FOR EVERYONE ELSE is not even debateable.

new23 you act like its all about getting high. you should educate yourself regarding the cannabis plant, it's not necessarily your fault but a lot has changed since McGruff the crime dog told us how to behave. about 125 years ago it was prescribed for over 300 ailments. it's time to turn off Cheech and Chong and realize it's legit fucking medicine...that is actually curing cancer by the thousands.

the Charlotte's Web strain? naned aftr the little girl who had like 2,500 -3,000 epileptic seizures every day...who now has 1-3??? never heard of her? yeah she sucks, fuck her and all the other nauseated pot heads w chronic pain trying to trick everyone and get high. fuck those guys

right? phoenixtears.ca

youtube "vitamin cannabis"

anyone who doesn't realize the overwhelming benefits should put a gun in their fucking mouths for being so callous, blind, and selfish. no on 2, yes on 3 = $ falling out of the schoolsystems pockets. CO made like 21 million in june, 2.1 mil of that went directly to the schools. thats one month. in one year thats an awful lot of raises folks.

Reply to WEED on Mon, 09 Nov 2015 22:31:02 GMT

@<bdi>baconhound</bdi> said:

While we are at it, let's legalize prostitution as well. Again it doesn't get the positive publicity of marijuana but isn't everyone a bit a happier after getting laid.

If I did say that I didn't mean to say it. I hate that Bill. Weed and Hemp should be able to grow it just like sunflowers. Just like corn or wheat. I hate that it only allows those few to largely profit, but make no mistake- many others would also profit. I was just trying to say that there are some benefits worthy of a yes vote.

It was far from perfect, but once the dogs were called off, so to speak, then real discussions and ideas could have been discussed. As it stands now, they still treat the minority as stereotypes or criminals. The criminal aspect that is used for control and as a cheap scapegoat for the law to strip citizens of their God given rights, to grow or do as they would like without the government taking away their choice in life.

It's no different than discrimination. It is a creed to me, my belief in God, and I believe that he's made this plant for human-beings to use.

Look PG, we're going to get a more reasonable Colorado-Alaska style bill, probably next year. You want to grow on a commercial scale, you'll have to apply for a permit- just like tobacco growers have to now. Marijuana may be a "plant" but there's limits to that argument. Opium poppies are a plant & they have really pretty flowers- wish I had a garden full of 'em (LOL, I could cut out the pharmaceutical companies and make my own morphine for use the next time someone in the family breaks a leg), peyote cacti are plants- and though not technically "plants" so are psylocybin mushrooms. Ergo, if you want to posit it's OK to grow your plant of choice, why should I be prohibited from growing those? They've been around for thousands of years too. Hmmmm?

Yeah- those that use pot as a recreational high are few and far between who will admit, as with alcohol, there's societal costs involved. I think it's pretty safe to say the heavy stoners lose motivation to do much. Mixing pot and driving is a pretty bad idea- I think most state troopers would agree.

What I have issues with is the current heroin epidemic that's going on. I truly don't understand why anyone would want to try the stuff in the first place. You have to be living on another planet to not realize how addictive it is. I had it offered to me once way back when, and I not only walked- I ran in the other direction- like I gotta get the hell outta here right now.

Add in- the clandestine guys are passing off fentanyl (50X more potent) as heroin- it's the reason we're seeing addicts in the obits on a daily basis.

hoorta

Reply to WEED on Mon, 09 Nov 2015 21:19:22 GMT

@<bdi>calfoxwc</bdi> said:

and Cal, people are going to grow indoors. They hydroponic industry is light years ahead of you. Infact, people who grow for rec purpose's are going to go the the hydro route as it's easier.
So can someone come on to your property and grow Corn? Isn't that a felony? If you grow something on my property without my knowledge or permission, that ought to be a serious offense no matter what you grow. My land is my land. Say a farmer wanted to "rest" his land for a couple seasons, somethign they're realizing is more and more important. Say some asshole decided that they were gonna grow corn or soybean on the land that i wanted to rest that year. For one, that shit would immediately get tilled back in but two, i shoudl be able to press some pretty substantial charges. Ironically, planting hemp would actually be beneficial to that land you wanted to rest. I forget what they call a crop that renourishes soil but Hemp is one of em, you till that shit back into the soil and it brings back bad land within a couple years if what I read sometime back is correct. Viuli (sp?) shrub is another one, they make rubber out of that shit.

Clevfan4life

Reply to WEED on Sun, 08 Nov 2015 17:28:49 GMT

I have already had to deal with illegal pot growers and meth makers on the property of some of my friends.
Not to mention societal cost. We won't truly know the cost of legalization until it's done but we do know what the "war on drugs" has cost us as well as the incarceration costs.

While we are at it, let's legalize prostitution as well. Again it doesn't get the positive publicity of marijuana but isn't everyone a bit a happier after getting laid.

Yeah, well not all that many married men could actively support it. Just saying...

I think there are detriments to society from alcohol and probably will be with weed. They are just different problems.

That being said lack of exercise, texting while driving, sitting around all day playing video games, technology replacing the human worker, crazy assholes in the Middle East and here... Lots of bad shit to worry about.

Again if alcohol had just been invented I think it would face stiff opposition from the FDA for legalization. Same with cigarettes. So what? Look dude plenty of people think it's up to you if you want to catch a buzz. I don't personally think you need to embarrass yourself pretending it's a wonder drug or that hemp is going to change the world. Just a matter personal freedom on my end.

It's the lemmings that are embarrassing themselves. Educate yourself, get your head out of the sand and into the clouds. But, most won't and it's because of pride, they can't admit they are wrong, they can't believe that their good ol' uncle Sam would lie to them, they blindly spew garbage and hatred without any knowledge or insight on the matter. Well, it's time to grow up. Quit acting like a stubborn two year old and learn something.

For those with an open mind that are still willing to debate with something other than stereotypical mindless drivel.
