Ex-Lions coach Jim Schwartz is reportedly "on the Browns' list" of head-coaching candidates.



Schwartz recently made his desire to return to the sideline public, while he remained on the league's radar during his year away from coaching, drawing some interest from the Dolphins when they fired DC Kevin Coyle in October. Schwartz would have to be signed off on by new VP of Football Operations Sashi Brown, who previously served as the Browns' team lawyer.

I like him. I think he got a shitty deal in Oakland and could be a pretty good HC. I think he went like 8-8 with a shitty Raiders team and still got fired.

(Should the Rooney rule apply when the guy doing the interviewing is Af-Am? Does the Rooney rule require that it must be AfAms that must be interviewed...just curious.

Thye've seen the fruits of his labor. They were in a similar position as we are now, no talent and no real history of procuring it effectively. Now Cincy is kind of a place players don't mind going. So they're getting some beasts to come play for them. You don't hear people saying fuck no I don't want to go to Cincy. But you do Cleveland.....and anybody that's been to Cincy knows how crazy that is.

Hope I'm wrong. He ran the defense better than Marrone or Pettine. It would be nice to have an offensive minded head coach with Shwartz as DC. Usually HC picks his coordinators. Coordinators pick the position coaches. Some of the ones we have now may stay, but usually in these scenarios a large majority of them leave.

HC would get the final say on everybody of course - including the position coaches.
