Sam Shields didn't have three picks. While A-a-Ron threw a beautiful and improbable td to force overtime odds are at least 7 of 10 times that ball isn't even caught and green bay doesn't have the opportunity to go to overtime and lose on the first possession.

That's all well and good, but it has nothing to do with what I was saying....the argument was that there would have been no overtime if Palmer had a better day in the redzone, to which I countered that the Cardinals would have scored 10 points if Sam Shields hadn't dropped three picks. Neither of those statements changes the fact that GB outplayed Arizona...

I've been saying all year the refs have just been bad. Games have been decided on bad calls, and I think the central issue is rules are way, way too complicated. Refs are watching for 100 things and calls are getting missed. Don't even get me started on what the hell a catch is.

The NFL needs to do three things this offseason hopefully:

-Simplify the rules especially on what counts as a catch

-Make NFL refs actual full-time employees

-Add one more ref per crew to specifically watch secondary play.
