The town drunk? The crazy lady? Where you went to buy baseball cards and where you played baseball? Yes me too I love the small town.

We had a grown man child who rode a bicycle and he called himself Roscoe. He acted as if he were the police and he heard the song China Girl by David Bowie.

I had a friend named Mike, and Roscoe must have heard this song right? I was standing uptown and Roscoe pulls up on his bicycle and ask, " have you seen Mike? I'm looking for him because of what he did to that China Girl." I laughed so hard at Roscoe as he pedaled his ass off looking for whatever he was trying to uncover. Ok ya it seems like small towns have that one memory of a crazy person or a town drunk. Our town drunk was Ray Sheets. He'd piss himself and slept by the railroad tracks. After my wife finished nursing school she worked at the retirement home and I went in to see her for something anyway... Ray Sheets was in there. She said that the CNA's would catch him playing with his dong all the time.

One Post

Reply to Growing Up In a Small Town on Wed, 17 Feb 2016 00:35:15 GMT

"One said:

Nice.
