Long story short, the school was raising funds for a new gym/weight room/fitness centre. They were all set to call it the 'Pride Fitness Center' - the fundraising having been done by the 'school pride' affiliated group.

Then, when near completion, they decided, admirably, to name the centre after one or two of the largest donors. Those were, the 'royal credit union' and a former student athlete, a guy called Roger White. You may be able to see where this is going.

So, in a great show of community spirit, the $100k was raised, the and the school opened the newly named "Roger T. White Pride Fitness Center" - or "White Pride Fitness Center" for short.

Cue some gentle mocking and concerned folks. It's now been rebranded as the "Roger T. White WildDawg Fitness Room."

It's a touchy subject that's for sure. I say let's move on from where people used to be into now where we have equal rights.
