And it was a good recipe for 1-15. You can't "develop" talent that isn't there. I hope Sashi and DePo have learned to swallow their pride this year, and admit they threw away picks on bums instead of letting them waste roster spots.

4th and earlier......use our picks or move up.....

For me...instead of getting an extra 6th.....Id rather use that 6th to turn my 4th into a late 3rd.....or a 5th into a 4th...etc...

Again.....with the 22 young uns we brought in last year....plus, what? another 15-20 coming this year?....how do we play and evaluate all those players?......especially if it takes a min 2 years to see what you have?....

I dont want to flood our roster with a huge pile of late rounders that we are forced to keep around for evaluation, playing time, etc...so, I say consolidate those15 players to 8 higher percentage players.....

Camp is limited to 90... I see some decent, 4th-5th-6th round prospects, but precious little in the 7th which infers the UDFA class will be weaker than usual.

At a minimum I could see trading either 6.01 or 6.04 for a midling and late 6th. Boards are so scattered by that stage you can probably land your 6.04 guy in the 6.15-6.20 range and still pocket a 6th round Comp... a Comp that could even end up being worth a late, 2018 5th to someone.

Actually we've plenty of R5/6.... R3/4 is where we could stand to fill a couple long waits. I can easily see us trading down 3.01 (#65) overnite, Friday night to do a little filling... maybe even packaging it with 4.01.

I think that's a good plan.

If they take Garrett #1, use some of that capital to move up to get the QB they need.

And/or move back up into the end of round one and get 3 hopeful first round studs.

Nevertheless, as I mentioned, DT is, to me, a higher priority than DE give the dearth that we have at the DT spot relative to DE. While sure, it never hurts to get a great player, even at a position of surplus, you stilll need to fill the other holes on your team. And to me DT is a hole.
