the request for the stuff on dirty higgardly was in March, 16. Comey sat on it, refused any action on it for months. That is the point.

Comey's action delayed any action til after the election, and while he was still head of the FBI. THEN, the point was made

that higgardly was no longer in gov, no longer in the public eye, and that interest and benefit has passed.

Fully expecting a Hillary win Comey wrote the letter saying that they were going to investigate the emails which had the Republicans dancing in the streets. Yes it looked bad for Hillary now! Except there was no huge investigation there was a quick glance after which he announced to the world she's clean as a whistle'  the accusations are baseless! And the momentum shifted to the Democrats. I think he was expecting a sweet Payback. Unfortunately when the Wicked Witch of the West Wing had a house dropped on her with the words Trump Tower on the roof he was out in the cold. And turned his attention on fucking with the new president.
