Vets -  Id say Schobert too.....and he was a surprise. And an honorable mention to Shon Coleman.  Honestly(truly honest)....there are no rookies who have shown much of anything yet. And certainly none who have exceeded expectations. Ogunjobi would be the closest to "exceeding" expectation.

Vets - probably J. Taylor and Danny Shelton. Both looked promising last season and I expected a notable step up this year, yet feel like they have stepped the wrong way. Non entities right now.....Britt is looking like a bad pick up, but I already knew that......

Rookies are fairly disappointing as a whole. Peppers looked promising in preseason, but has looked completely lost since....and his return game is a let down. Expected much more in that regard. ...also Kizer....where I didnt have much expectation for him, I certainly didnt think he'd be worse than Kessler was.....so, he feels like a let down as well

• Defensive Rookie of the Year (DROY)? Garret (hopefully)
• Offensive Player of the Year (OPOY)? Duke
• Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY)? Collins
• MVP? Based upon current production, Duke HAS to be it....cause he's the only one on offense who is making a difference.

Bills, Rams

Yeah, I don't think I've noticed or paid attention to the Bills in a long time. It's been forever since the reached the post-season, and even more forever since those four Super Bowl losses in the same decade. The market here is split between the Bills, Steelers, and Browns, and only Pittsburgh has received any attention in quite a while. But now there is a small spike in interest in Buffalo. If they keep winning and break their playoff drought that interest will surge.

1. Which team has surprised you the most to the upside? Runner-ups? LA Rams... rookie HC... 2nd year QB coming off an unimpressive first year. Runner-up: da Bills

2. Which team (other than the Browns) has surprised you the most to the downside? Runner-ups? The NY Football Giants... D is supposed to sustain. Runners-up: Raiders and Seahawks.

3. Has the Browns downside surprised you more than those you listed in response to question 2? No, but only because my expectations for the Giants were much higher.

 4. Who are your Division Champions now? Your Conference Champions? Your SB winner? About the same... Not hard to see the Pats pull themselves together. It is harder to see Seattle making it to the SB to face the Pats. Other Div Champs? Still good with PTG, KC, GB and ATL. TN is looking shaky in the AFCS... and TBH... I don't remember who I picked in the NFCE.

5. Which players' upsides have surprised you the most? Of the vets? Of the rookies? Rookie is easy.... Hunt. Vets? Imma go with Goff. I thought I;d see "better", but not this much better.

6. Which players' downsides have surprised you the most? Of the vets? Of the rookies? Surprising myself with this vet, but it's Cutler in MIA. He looked good early stepping in late for Tannehill. Rookies? McCaffrey... he's not playing badly, just not near the level I saw for him coming into the league.

• Defensive Rookie of the Year (DROY)? Slim pickin's... BUF's CB, Tre'davious White  has had a good start
• Offensive Player of the Year (OPOY)? Smith (KC), but could argue for Hunt here as well.
• Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY)? DeMarcus Lawrence... what a start.
• MVP? Right now... Smith.

Browns:

8. Which players' upsides have surprised you the most? Of the vets? Of the rookies? Vet... Schobert. Is showing speed and decisiveness. Rookie? Not many to choose from is there. Prolly Ogunjobe.

9. Which players' downsides have surprised you the most? Of the vets? Of the rookies? Britt clearly... career year in 2016 with weak QB play and likely being vouched for by Williams. Rookie? Again, who to chose from? Have to go Peppers... not that it's his fault. Some will go Garrett here I'm sure, but unseen due to injury eliminates him from my consideration.
