After JT's retirement...it makes a bit more sense...simply as a backup.   Hubbard and Rod Johnson still here to vie for that LOT spot I guess.   

Unless you all think there is another plan?    Draft? (slim pickings)  Another FA signing (more slim pickings)

Trade?  For who?

He's cheap, experienced and a quality back-up. Not going to win a staring job but versatile enough to keep around just in case

But, by his record, he simply looks like a backup....a guy gotten for depth.
