Apparently he was watching cartoons on his phone while in meetings as a Steeler minority owner....'cuz he didn't learn a damn thing while he was there.

Sure Haslam has his problems. But he does not play nor coach. But simply stop? selecting your GM's coaches Remember the good days of Belicheck,Sam & Marty? Take a look at their complete coaching staffs with Browns than what followed after Browns..No Ray Horton's nor Jim O'Neil's..If Cam Erving comes in here playing G & pancakes somebody where I have to watch him help someone up with hugs? Am going to ?..Am even a bigger fan of Gregg Williams now.He knows enough good connections to put his staff together. If it's all about changing cultures? Take a look at what Dabo Sweeney has done at Clemson ?.I also think Dorsey & he are a good match. But my fear of any of the college coaches, is the shorter list of 'good" position coaches...And the patience of Jimmy H.

Haslam repeatedly has hired a coach and a GM and made both of them report to the owner separately. In your "How to Create a Power Struggle" manual, that's Step One. Heck, it's practically the only step.

Disagree. Jimmy is passionate about fielding a winner here & that passion has led to mistakes, but he has also changed paths when he has gone the wrong way. His hiring of a REAL, SUCCESSFUL football guy in John Dorsey, then deferring to Dorsey with yesterday's changes should show that he is willing to put aside his own ego, listen to reason, respect anothers' expertise & change.

I believe the reporting status of HC/OC/DC will change to Dorsey at some point in 2018 or early 2019. Jimmy will still want input, but Dorsey has obviously won Jimmy's respect. Now John is talkin' & Jimmy is listening.

Now let's sit back, see how 2018 goes & move forward.

Hiring Dorsey was the best thing he ever did, perhaps the only good thing he has done. I was speaking of his overall track record but I did really like the Dorsey hire I will say. In time I hope in time Jimmy fades back and gives Dorsey more autonomy and is willing to bankrolls competitive payrolls.

Everyone has to report to him, separately. Most of the times a coach would report to a GM and they would work together, but if something goes wrong, Jimmy has everyone seperately reporting to him complaining about someone else.

Sorry if I don't agree, and I watched the whole thing. Pretty obvious Dorsey is going to be the decision maker from here on out- assuming we see improvement from the team. Not going to be easy with the Chiefs coming in on Sunday after the big shakeup today.
