	WEEK 5 - One man's opinion on the BROWNS in San Francisco in primetime on MNF!
</p>

<p>
	The 49ers haven’t adjusted well since moving to Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara five years ago. The last time San Francisco covered as a home favorite was back in 2014 under Jim Harbaugh. The 49ers are 7-17 ATS in their past 24 home games. The 49ers were idle last week. They are 9-2 with Jimmy Garoppolo under center with the two losses coming on the road to the Vikings and Chiefs.
</p>

<p>
	Garoppolo may get to face a Browns secondary that didn’t have starting injured cornerbacks Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams last Sunday. Cleveland regained some of its preseason swagger and got a needed confidence boost with an impressive road victory against the Ravens this past Sunday.
</p>

<p>
	Is 3-0 San Francisco just ripe enough to be knocked off like undefeated Baltimore -or- is Cleveland tired and dinged up enough and in another underdog road game and drop below .500?
</p>

<p>
	SO what to do? <strong>Easy, the BROWNS overdue offensive machine is ready again to test the West Coast niners. Take CLE + 3.5 and the OVER 46 </strong>and enjoy Monday Night Football!  Are you ready?

<p>
	There are two obvious problems in this game against the Seahawks, but I’ll list them anyways because I’m me, and that’s what I do.<span>  </span>
</p>

<p>
	Problem 1 – Seattle has extremely physical people on their defense.<span>  </span>We all know their defense isn’t quite the “Legion of Boom” of years past, but they still have some people on their front 7 that would bitch slap Donkey Kong, steal his fried chicken, AND eat it in front of him.<span>  </span>Ok that didn’t really make any sense, but the point is they have some big nasties that are physical, and PHYSICAL is what gives us fits.<span>  </span>Clowney isn’t a sack artist, but he’s basically the most underrated defensive player in the league.<span>  </span>He’s fast, he’s strong, and he’s mean.<span>  </span>He’s probably the best defender against the league vs the run, and he’ll get pressure on the QB as well.<span>  </span>You have to assume they’re licking their chops after watching us last week.<span>  </span>
</p>

<p>
	Problem 2 – Russell Wilson.<span>  </span>So, I’m going to be “that guy” for a moment.<span>  </span>The “I tried to tell everyone to draft that guy” guy that nobody likes.<span>  </span>As I’ve said before, I grew up in Tallahassee, FL and attended Florida State University.<span>  </span>I had to watch Russell Wilson torture my Seminoles for what seemed like 17 years in a row, and then MERCIFULLY the guy leaves for Wisconsin, where he went on to terrify another conference.<span>  </span>I was absolutely SCREAMING to draft this guy at the top of my lungs on draft day.<span>  </span>I remember falling down to the ground and throwing my hands up in the air like Tim Robbins from “Shawshank Redemption” while the rain poured down on my face and yelling, “WHHHHYYYYYYY?!!”<span>  </span>It was the absolute easiest QB decision I have literally EVER seen.<span>  </span>And we could’ve gotten him in the 2nd round, or even the 3rd round if we traded up a few spots.<span>  </span>If you’re wondering who we selected instead of Russell Wilson, you’re in luck because I’m going to tell you.<span>  </span>This was the vaunted 2012 draft, where we drafted Trent Richardson, Brandon Weeden, Mitchell Schwartz, John Hughes, Travis Benjamin, and lord knows who else.<span>  </span><span> </span>I will now throw myself against a brick wall.
</p>

<p>
	Russell Wilson:<span>  </span>73% completion, <span> </span>14 total TDs (12 passing), 0 interceptions, and 1409 passing yards.
</p>

<p>
	Baker Mayfield:<span>  </span>56% completion, 4 TDs (LOL!), 8 interceptions, and 1220 passing yards.<span>  </span>
</p>

<p>
	I’m going to make another post later that describes the problems Seattle will face, but this one’s already too long, so I’m stopping the madness.<span>  </span>It’s definitely not hopeless for us, but it’s also not great either.<span>  </span>We lost two games we really should’ve won, and now it’s time to win a game we probably should’ve lost.<span>  </span>We need some magic, we need some luck, and we need it at home.<span>  </span>If our guys don’t get back to smiling and having fun, it’s going to erupt and the fallout will be miserable for everyone.

	Well I did see some information on this game......
</p>

<p>
	Before the game......
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#000000">
	Sharp bettors have been all over the Niners, who are consensus 5-point favorites after the line opened at 3 and climbed as high as 5½. The line is at 4½ at Station Casinos, Circa Sports and Wynn Las Vegas sportsbooks.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#000000">
	South Point oddsmaker Jimmy Vaccaro tweeted that the book took a $55,000 straight bet on San Francisco minus 3½. The Westgate took a $33,000 straight bet on the Niners minus 4 and CG Technology took sharp bets on them at 3½ and 4.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#000000">
	“We’re going to need the Browns,”<span> </span>........
</p>

<p style="background-color:#ffffff;color:#000000">

	What's interesting is the eras that those counts occurred. In our case it was pre-FA; in the 9ers it was post.

<p>
	Well, obviously there was a ton of money on the 49ers to cover.
</p>

<p>
	I should have  bet the ranch on the Seahawks +2.5, its probably  about -2.5 now after that MNF debacle.

	Things they are a changing well in the NFL that's every week with injuries and suspensions and how about people coming off injuries and suspensions?
</p>

<p>
	Well the main issue discusses how the 49ers have been a bad home favorite for a long time. Let’s let them prove they can perform in the role against a stranger that has lots of offensive firepower. The Browns return speedy WR Antonio Callaway to the lineup for the first time this season. He had a four-game suspension. The 49ers suddenly have to account for a guy who caught 43 balls, 5 for TDs, last season, when there was already Odell Beckham, Jr. and Jarvis Landry. Whoa. Look out, now.
</p>

<p>
	 The 49ers have a nice running game that Cleveland should have problems defending against, but they’ve had their red-zone issues and Cleveland’s offense is certainly more explosive than it already was with Callaway on the field. Nick Chubb is one of the fastest running backs around. Wouldn’t want to be sweating out an Under with all the offensive talent on hand here.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>SO now what to do? Well take advantage of the new line and take CLE +5 and of course the OVER 46 and enjoy the shootout!  </strong>Are you ready for some primetime football?

					<span>There was an ugly win over a perceived also-run in Tampa Bay, a blowout against overmatched Cincinnati and then a mistake-filled victory over Pittsburgh and backup quarterback Mason Rudolph.</span>
				</p>

				<p>
					<span>Now the degree of difficulty starts to get much more difficult, starting with Monday night's home game against a Cleveland Browns team that has shown early signs of being a legitimate contender in the AFC North.</span>
				</p>

				<p>
					<span>'A lot of people on this team don't get credit they deserve, so Monday we're going to showcase that,' 49ers receiver Marquise Goodwin said.</span>
				</p>

				<p>
					<span>Skepticism surrounding the 49ers (3-0) and Browns (2-2) is warranted based on the recent history. The two franchises were the bottom two in the league over the previous four seasons, with Cleveland winning a league-low 11 games in that span and San Francisco not far ahead with only 17.</span>
				</p>

				<p>
					<span>While a healthy Jimmy Garoppolo at quarterback and a vastly improved defense have transformed the 49ers, the Browns have been a bit more inconsistent this season alternating losses with wins.</span>
				</p>

				<p>
					<span>But they are hoping last week's 40-25 win at Baltimore is a sign of how a star-studded roster led by second-year quarterback Baker Mayfield, dynamic playmakers Odell Beckham Jr. and Nick Chubb, and dominant force Myles Garrett can be different than past Browns teams.</span>
				</p>

				<p>
					<span>'We came out with a big win this past weekend, and I feel that just the energy is different,' defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi said. 'You can tell the guys are really fully buying into what we have going on in here and know that everything we want is in front of us. We just have to keep working.'</span>

<p>
	I've been hashing this one over, the mentioned ones already T.O. in now, Gore the ageless one for a RB should be, Willis maybe how about Vernon Davis? Had him on a few FL teams put up good numbers.
</p>

<p>
	  In the post  Young/Rice era they hit a dry spell except for a few years and of course the 2012 SB loss amazing how that works losing teams generally don't scream out the great players. Do they have the nucleus now to generate HOF caliber players? We'll see.
