						CLEVELAND, Ohio — Indians catcher Roberto Perez and shortstop Francisco Lindor are among the finalists for 2019 Gold Glove Awards in the American League announced Thursday by Rawlings.

						Perez, a finalist for the first time in his career,<span> </span><a href="https://www.cleveland.com/tribe/2019/10/a-healthy-roberto-perez-is-the-biggest-key-for-the-cleveland-indians-in-2020.html" style="color:#1565c0" rel="external nofollow">played elite defense in 2019</a>, leading baseball with 29 defensive runs saved according to<span> </span><a href="http://fangraphs.com/" style="color:#1565c0" rel="external nofollow">Fangraphs.com</a>. That’s 17 more than any other catcher and the most by a backstop since Yadier Molina in 2013.
