It reminds me why I was so strongly against drafting him, at least at #3. Quinn could end up being a very good starting QB, but I didn't see a Tom Brady or a Peyton Manning-type QB, both because of the accuracy and decision-making under pressure concerns.

I mean, imagine if Savage had picked him at #3 and put him behind a line that didn't include Joe Thomas. I don't see how that could have possibly worked.

Aloysius

Reply to Quinn on ESPN Classic on Fri, 24 Jul 2009 03:11:44 GMT

@<bdi>riffer-x</bdi> said:
All I know is I want to see it come regular season. The Bills are planning to use a lot of it in order to compensate for their lack of quality pass protectors.

This gets lost in all the QB stuff but the key for this staff is to utilize the talents they have instead of fitting a square peg into a round hole. That's all the Browns have been doing for years. If Quinn excels at certain things let him do them.

BTW, Stanton's pick was pitiful at that juncture of the game.

Riffer X

Reply to Quinn on ESPN Classic on Fri, 24 Jul 2009 02:46:23 GMT

Fun.
