	I have seen/heard quite a bit of conversation lately along these lines:   " Is QB so and so done where he is?"
</p>

<p>
	The usual suspects are:
</p>

<p>
	Is Jimmy Garrapolo done in San Francisco?
</p>

<p>
	Is Dak Prescott done in Dallas?
</p>

<p>
	Is Drew Brees with his injury, done in New Orleans?
</p>

<p>
	Are ALL the QBs in Chicago done:  Trubisky, Foles etc.?
</p>

<p>
	Is Stafford done in Detroit.....along the lines of "should he try to force his way out?
</p>

<p>
	Is Rivers done in Indy after this year?
</p>

<p>
	Is Tom Brady done in Tampa...or just done period?
</p>

<p>
	Who will the QB in Washington next year?   Are Smith and Haskins both done there?
</p>

<p>
	Is Darnold done with the Jets....who may go get Trevor Lawrence?
</p>

<p>
	So....for you all....tell us who you think may be done in their situation?

	<strong>And actually, I think the Jets should be considering a trade of that #1 pick.....where they would get at minimum like  2 First rounders, 2 seconds and 2 3rds.   They have a pile of needs...and that trade could/should/would help them tremendously in rebuilding. </strong>

	<strong>Both Fair statements.</strong>

	Well C. Wentz isn't done in philly, the EAGLES owe him way too much money, so they are stuck with him all next year weather he plays or stands on the sidelines. The Lions might be done with M. <p>
			Yes... because he's a UFA. Whenever you control where you sign... you have leverage.
		</p>

		<p>
			Plus I guarantee you that after the failed 2020 contract negotiations Dak feels no allegiance to DAL.
		</p>

		<p>
			Two things...
		</p>

		<ol><li>
				Word is that Dak is already ahead of schedule in his recovery/rehab which was only 4 - 6 months long. It's almost been two months since the injury.
			</li>
			<li>
				Teams have medical staffs to evaluate the soundness of players, but with the above timetable staffs should be able to see for themselves how well the recovery went.
			</li>
		</ol><p>
			Even then the contract <em>base</em> may not be as rich as it once was... unless it's another tag by DAL which is set by rule. Problem is that if you look at DAL's 2021 cap-space you can see that is not really an option. They have an unbelievable $92mm in 2021 dead money tied up in <em>three players... </em>Cooper, Elliot and Lawrence.
		</p>

		<p>
			Teams that want to hedge a little can use incentive clauses and even option years. So a team can commit to invest as little as $20mm or so while offering a package that hits $30+mm/yr.
		</p>

<p>
	I understand he’s an UFA.  He’s coming off of a serious injury going into the UFA.  this is ideal...never.
</p>

<p>
	He’s coming back...I get it ...is he right? When he moves in the pocket is he thinking about stepping up in the pocket and getting that ankle rolled on.  For a guy that doesn’t want to be locked into something long termish it’s a risk
</p>

<p>
	 My opinion... I would think his current team is likely more willing to assume the risk- he knows the system, the team, etc.

			He may have some doubts as other teams have doubts on him coming back healthy next year and or having lingering effects of the injury the following year.  Name a team looking for a QB are you anchoring yourself to 35-40M plus a year on that?  If you recall he didn’t want to sign for more than 4 years.   I think Dallas is most likely team to take a gamble and it may not be as rich of a contract.

</p>

<p>
	Teams that want to hedge a little can use incentive clauses and even option years. So a team can commit to invest as little as $20mm or so while offering a package that hits $30+mm/yr.

	I think Rivers might hang 'em up, retire. He's got a bad case of turf toe that requires surgery.
</p>

<p>
	He's had a pretty fine career, not a lot of playoff success of course. The Colts took a flyer on him, its kind of worked out with 4 to play.

			Stafford will be a Lion.
		</p>

		<p>
			I feel like Indy will look elsewhere and maybe make a big trade or maybe stafford will be a Colt.
		</p>

		<p>
			Surprise here...Brady will retire.
		</p>

		<p>
			Smith stays in Washington.  Haskins no way

	Does Dak have leverage next season?  He may have some doubts as other teams have doubts on him coming back healthy next year and or having lingering effects of the injury the following year.  Name a team looking for a QB are you anchoring yourself to 35-40M plus a year on that?  If you recall he didn’t want to sign for more than 4 years.   I think Dallas is most likely team to take a gamble and it may not be as rich of a contract.
