It was absolutely overrun with homeless. Crouching under the bridges like trolls, loitering in the Safeway parking lot shooting up and, no lie, taking shits directly in the russian river in full view of everyone. 

There had been, according to the town paper's website some meetings to discuss what to do with them but the town had been decreed a "hate free town" and so all the lefties stuck their fingers in their ears and did nothing. I'll pass on being like California.
