	I'm not going to rehash the pending SCOTUS case regarding the Biden administration pressuring tech companies to censor "disinformation" and "hate speech." It was cheered on by a bunch of idiots in the media and government who genuinely think "hate speech is not free speech" trumps the Constitution. The tech companies' decisions to go along with the Biden administration was rightfully derided by "conservatives."
</p>

<p>
	Now, these same "conservatives" are chipping away at the first amendment in the wake of the crisis in Israel.

	Exhibit A: If your college has anti-Zionist protestors, then your federal funding will get pulled. Thank god this retard has no chance at the presidency. <br />

<p>
	Didn't we already go through this shit in 2001 with the Patriot Act? Erosion of the Bill of Rights is bad and should be opposed in all forms because, as the last 8 years have demonstrated, it can be applied to anyone the current government doesn't like. Someone needs to tell these GOP idiots that they're running for president of the US, not president of Israel.

			The trouble is, how can anyone tell the difference between simple criticism and antisemitism?

<p>
	My apologies for answering more than a year later, but if I can read older threads then so can other newcomers, and so I would just like to offer an answer to that very reasonable question posed by "Calfoxwc":<br />

</p>

<p>
	<strong>What is the difference between simple criticism (of Israel) and antisemitism?</strong><br />
	<br />
	Firstly, how to recognize "Palestinian" Arab Falsehood-Propaganda:<br />
	False-claims / false accusations / conspiracy theories against: "Israel" / the "Jews" / "Zionists", often as stock-phrases, insulting the reader's intelligence by being provided with: <br />
	No detail(s), no objective-sources; zero evidence.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>When are falsehoods, often alleged as “criticism”, against Jews/Israel, typically due to anti-Semitism?:</strong><br />
	<span>UNSUBSTANTIATED-allegations that insult the reader’s intelligence, by being typically-alleged, with: <br />
	No detail(s), no objective-sources; zero evidence. </span>

<h3>
	<span>Israeli–Palestinian conflict</span>

</p>

<p>
	Israel announced a "boycott" of the Arabic broadcaster on 13 March 2008, accusing it of bias in its coverage of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaza_Strip" title="Gaza Strip" rel="external nofollow">Gaza Strip conflict</a> and toward <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamas" title="Hamas" rel="external nofollow">Hamas</a>.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-:02-157" rel="external nofollow">[157]</a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabinet_of_Israel" title="Cabinet of Israel" rel="external nofollow">Israeli government</a> employees declined interviews and denied visa applications for the organization's staff. Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Majalli_Wahabi" title="Majalli Wahabi" rel="external nofollow">Majalli Wahabi</a> accused it of focusing on Palestinian suffering and ignoring that of Israel: "We have seen that Al-Jazeera has become part of Hamas ... </p>

<p>
	In February 2009, Israel again imposed sanctions on Al Jazeera after <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qatar" title="Qatar" rel="external nofollow">Qatar</a> closed the Israeli trade office in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doha" title="Doha" rel="external nofollow">Doha</a> in protest against the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaza_War_(2008%E2%80%9309)" title="Gaza War (2008–09)" rel="external nofollow">Gaza War</a>. Israel had considered declaring Al Jazeera a hostile entity and shutting its Israeli offices, but after a legal review the Israeli government decided to impose limited measures restricting the organization's activities in the country. All Al Jazeera employees would not have their visas renewed, and the Israeli government would issue no new visas. Al Jazeera staff would not be allowed to attend government briefings; its access to government and military offices was reduced, and it could not interview <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knesset" title="Knesset" rel="external nofollow">Knesset</a> members. The organization would only have access to three agencies: representatives of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prime_Minister%27s_Office_(Israel)" title="Prime Minister's Office (Israel)" rel="external nofollow">Prime Minister's Office</a>, the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ministry_of_Foreign_Affairs_(Israel)" title="Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Israel)" rel="external nofollow">Foreign Ministry</a>, and the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IDF_Spokesperson%27s_Unit" title="IDF Spokesperson's Unit" rel="external nofollow">IDF Spokesperson's Unit</a>.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-164" rel="external nofollow">[164]</a>
</p>

<p>
	On 15 July of that year, the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_National_Authority" title="Palestinian National Authority" rel="external nofollow">Palestinian National Authority</a> (PA) closed down Al Jazeera's offices in the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Bank" title="West Bank" rel="external nofollow">West Bank</a> in an apparent response to claims made on the channel by <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farouk_Kaddoumi" title="Farouk Kaddoumi" rel="external nofollow">Farouk Kaddoumi</a> that PA president Mahmoud Abbas had been involved in the death of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yasser_Arafat" title="Yasser Arafat" rel="external nofollow">Yasser Arafat</a>. </p>

<p>
	In August 2011, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afghans" title="Afghans" rel="external nofollow">Afghan</a> bureau chief Samer Allawi was arrested by Israeli authorities and charged with being a member of Hamas.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-167" rel="external nofollow">[167]</a> Walied Al-Omary, Al Jazeera bureau chief in Israel and the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_territories" title="Palestinian territories" rel="external nofollow">Palestinian territories</a>, said that a military court accused Allawi of making contact with members of Hamas' armed wing.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-168" rel="external nofollow">[168]</a> The <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Committee_to_Protect_Journalists" title="Committee to Protect Journalists" rel="external nofollow">Committee to Protect Journalists</a> <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MENA" title="MENA" rel="external nofollow">Middle East and North Africa</a> program coordinator Mohamed Abdel Dayem stated that "Israel must clarify why it continues to hold Samer Allawi."<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-169" rel="external nofollow">[169]</a><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-170" rel="external nofollow">[170]</a> Allawi was imprisoned for over a month and fined <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_dollar" title="United States dollar" rel="external nofollow">$</a>1,400 after pleading guilty to meeting with Hamas, a militant group viewed as <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorism" title="Terrorism" rel="external nofollow">terrorist</a> by Israel and most of the West.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-171" rel="external nofollow">[171]</a><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-172" rel="external nofollow">[172]</a><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-173" rel="external nofollow">[173]</a><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-174" rel="external nofollow">[174]</a><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-175" rel="external nofollow">[175]</a><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-176" rel="external nofollow">[176]</a><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-177" rel="external nofollow">[177]</a> In 2013, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations" title="United Nations" rel="external nofollow">UN</a> researcher Nicola Perugini was accused by <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UN_Watch" title="UN Watch" rel="external nofollow">UN Watch</a> of fabricating a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_Human_Rights_Council" title="United Nations Human Rights Council" rel="external nofollow">United Nations Human Rights Council</a> session in his Al Jazeera article about the latest <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Nations_Human_Rights_Council" title="United Nations Human Rights Council" rel="external nofollow">UNHRC</a> report on Israeli settlements.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-178" rel="external nofollow">[178]</a>

<p>
	Al Jazeera has also been accused of pushing Hamas propaganda, repeatedly broadcasting statements by Hamas' military and political leaders calling for a broader uprising and aligning themselves closely with Hamas' preferred language for the conflict.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-182" rel="external nofollow">[182]</a> In addition, Israel accused several journalists of Al Jazeera of assisting or commanding Hamas units in their fight against Israel.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-183" rel="external nofollow">[183]</a><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-184" rel="external nofollow">[184]</a>

	Al Jazeera cameraman Samer Abu Daqqa was killed by an Israeli airstrike on 15 December 2023 targeting Al Jazeera bureau chief <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wael_Al-Dahdouh" title="Wael Al-Dahdouh" rel="external nofollow">Wael Al-Dahdouh</a>, who was also injured during the strike.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-185" rel="external nofollow">[185]</a><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-186" rel="external nofollow">[186]</a><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-187" rel="external nofollow">[187]</a>

<p>
	During the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq_War" title="Iraq War" rel="external nofollow">Iraq War</a>, Al Jazeera and other news-gathering organizations experienced reporting and movement restrictions. Reporter <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tayseer_Allouni" title="Tayseer Allouni" rel="external nofollow">Tayseer Allouni</a> was expelled from the country and Diyar Al-Omari, another reporter, was stripped of his journalistic credentials by the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States" title="United States" rel="external nofollow">US</a>. On 2 April 2003, the organization announced that it would "temporarily freeze all coverage" of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq" title="Iraq" rel="external nofollow">Iraq</a> in protest of what Al Jazeera called unreasonable interference by Iraqi officials.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-44" rel="external nofollow">[44]</a> Contrary to allegations, including those by <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Rumsfeld" title="Donald Rumsfeld" rel="external nofollow">Donald Rumsfeld</a> on 4 June 2005, Al Jazeera has never shown <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decapitation" title="Decapitation" rel="external nofollow">beheadings</a>; beheadings have appeared on a number of other websites, and have sometimes been misattributed to the organization.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-rumsfeld2-45" rel="external nofollow">[45]</a> When the allegations were reported in other media, Al Jazeera pressed for retractions; <i>The Guardian</i> later corrected its report that the organization "had shown videos of masked terrorists beheading western hostages".<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-guardian.co.uk2-46" rel="external nofollow">[46]</a> The allegation was repeated on <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fox_News" title="Fox News" rel="external nofollow">Fox News</a>, however, when Al Jazeera's English service was launched on 15 November 2006.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jazeera_controversies_and_criticism#cite_note-47" rel="external nofollow">[47]</a>

	Al Jazeera TV covered welcome-home festivities for <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samir_Kuntar" title="Samir Kuntar" rel="external nofollow">Samir Kuntar</a>, a Lebanese terrorist imprisoned in Israel for killing several people in a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestine_Liberation_Front" title="Palestine Liberation Front" rel="external nofollow">Palestine Liberation Front</a> raid from <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lebanon" title="Lebanon" rel="external nofollow">Lebanon</a> into that country, when Kuntar was released from prison on 19 July 2008. The "palestinians" could have had their own country when Israel was created.
</p>

<p>
	but NOOOOOOOO, they punched themselves in the face and declined because they didn't want Jews to have a country, they hated them so much.
</p>

<p>
	 etc. etc. etc.
</p>

<p>
	Now they hate all Jews and Israel because they made their own misery and can't handle the truth - they blame Israel, so stupidly.
</p>

<p>
	They STILL don't want Israel to be a country. They STILL HATE Jews for no good reason.
</p>

<p>
	they support hamas and Oct. 7th - by a huge majority.
</p>

<p>
	It's too bad they are self-destructive, but warring against the Jews, then whining that Israel fights back....
</p>

<p>
	is culturally asinine as an identity.
</p>

<p>
	Their hatred for ANY other religion goes back to Mohammed's days.
</p>

<p>
	and blaming their hatred on Israel being forced to fight the '67 war, or blaming it on the Israelis going into Gaza after Oct. 7th...
</p>

<p>
	is just cultural suicide, complete with suicide vests, and teaching young children to be terrorists as a game.

	Schools have a right to ban perverted books.
</p>

<p>
	Drag shows are lewd, certain places also have the right to ban those.
</p>

<p>
	The right to abortion doesn't exist.
</p>

<p>
	But in all those cases(a whopping 3) you're talking about isolated instances. Abortion may or may not be banned in certain states.

	Wrong, I'm not a neoliberal.

<p>
	White flighted my ass out of Shaker because some black kid was going around holding people up at gunpoint outside my house. One of my neighbors had a bullet go into their house from a driveby, that I assume was some kind of gang initiation ritual - they had no reason to be targeted by a driveby. I will never subject myself to living in a majority black neighborhood ever again and I'm not the slightest bit sorry for it.
