It’s kind of neat and it’s kind of a pain in the ass, because all those layers of government are taxing us and doing things a little differently. Gun owners have to be mindful of what’s legal in different states when traveling, and pot heads have to worry about the same thing. Now abortion is one of those things. In some states you can own a kangaroo, but in some states you can’t.

Did you know that businesses that legally sell marijuana can’t have a regular bank account? That’s because banks are under the domain of the federal government, and marijuana isn’t legal at the federal level, therefore no business that legally sells marijuana can deposit that money in to a regular bank account. Weird yeah? All these weird exceptions and work-arounds have to be created so that business can operate like a normal business.

But it is kinda cool too how every state sort of does its own thing and bends to the will of its constituents, and l think that makes us kind of unique and cool, and l believe that will be a benefit to us in the long haul.

States have always had the authority to run elections however they see fit, and it’s going to a fight on literally 50 fronts if the federal government tries to mandate them to split up their electoral college votes. Well, maybe 48 fronts since Maine and Kansas already do it. 

It would be a game changer if more states decided to do it on their own though. Imagine California splitting up its electoral college votes? Republican voters would root like hell for that. There’s plenty of conservatives east of those mountains.

I'll give you some homework though, why doesn't the losing side of voter's votes count? Isn't it unfair that 49% of the people who voted for something entirely different aren't represented? Why doesn't their vote count as much as the other 51%?

At the end of the day l understand this slight advantage for voters in smaller states, but l don’t see it as that big of an advantage, and l like the general direction that advantage points to.

No they were not psychic, but I bet if they could have predicted the future they would have provided better clarification on both the 2nd Amendment and the 1st Amendment as it pertains to religion. The left has misinterpreted both.
