	It will be interesting to see if Carson Beck can come back from the dead and get himself back into talks of first round projections. Miami beat what was considered a potential national champion contender Notre Dame last night.
</p>

<p>
	I didn't get to see the LSU/Clemson game, or South Carolina/VTech, so I didn't get to see Nussmeier, Klubnik or Sellers.

<p>
	Lee Corso went 6 for 6 in his last College Gameday picks. Cool way to go out.

			Yeah that was laughable. Stay tuned we will hear Dabo pounding the table when they pretty much run the table (they will trip up a winnable game somewhere) “we played LSU to a one score game back in August”.  Nevermind he has the more guys back than most of the contenders. <br />

		</p>

		<p>
			Nussmeier looks like he’s the most pro ready QB.  I’m watching Sellers now, VATech and Pry have a nice scheme and gameplan going for this matchup but he’s all check down and running for his life.  He has the big arm and mobility that scouts love.
		</p>

		<p>
			Julian Sayin.  The release and accuracy were great.  Even on the TD pass he didn’t overthrow Tate like most QBs do he put it up and let guy make a play.  I thought he put the ball right in the spot to optimize YAC.  He’s a San Diego guy too.  Brian Sipe again?  We seem to have affinity for shorter QBs

<p>
	<span>?</span> Well said!  Another guy nobody is talking about yet that I want to keep my eye on ASU's Jim Leavitt. He doesn't enter this year with gotta-have stats. I don't know a lot about him but I watched a game where the playbook called for a lot of cup protection in pass pro.  The problem was that cup had more holes in it than a mesh shirt.  He was getting swarmed but escaping it all with poise, completions and scrambles for 1st downs. I kept thinking this kid would be really fun to watch if they could give him better protection.  I decided that obviously wasn't gonna be today so I changed the station.  <em>Ready for this? </em> The hollow dome talking to you here changed the station on what turned out to be a very a exciting Peach Bowl in the first round of the BCS Playoffs.  It was a double OT 39-31 loss to Texas.
</p>

<p>
	I could go either way with Carson Beck; but I'm thinking he's too risky along with the hot and cold polarity.  There were 2 versions of Brett Favre - 1 that played in Atlanta in between the meeting naps and Happy Hours; and 1 that had got the coaching he needed in GB to make it all work and win.  They nick named Favre <em>"Wild Thing"</em> early on in GB because of all his risk taking in the pass game.  I get the feeling Carson Beck wouldn't get the same type of trust but I could be wrong there.  For now, Miami seems happy he wore out Kirby Smart's patience.  I'm not a big Kirby Smart fan so I wouldn't mind it at all if Beck had a great year for Miami.
</p>

<p>
	SC Gamecock QB LaNorris Sellers looks like he has some Air McNair in his game.  The question is how often does he hold that hostage?
</p>

<p>
	It's been a fun 1st weekend of college football.

		<p>
			I'll say this again, when Kirby Smart arrived at the UGA - that football program stopped losing the top recruits in GA to Clemson.  Prior to that, Clemson could beat Bama and/or Ohio State in the college football post season.  Today?  They'll just beat most of the ACC Teams - although Florida State duddn't look like a gimme at all
		</p>

		<p>
			Nussmeier looked good once he settled in.  This morning, ESPN showed the TD pass he didn't get credit for that they thought he should have been credited for.  It was pretty easy to agree with them.  I didn't know college football put Cheech &amp; Chong in charge of Instant Replay.  Stay tuned while they stay stoned...

			LSU-Clemson is on TV tonight at 7:30pm. Nussmeier &amp; Klubnik.  One somewhat meaningless irony of this match-up at Clemson tonight is they call their home field Death Valley and the only other college football program that does the exact same thing is LSU.  That said, they both take a great deal of pride in that name to the extent they have a game day tradition with it all.

			As of today (and these things can always change, look at how Quinn Ewers stock dropped like a brick from this time last year to the 2025 Draft in April) but there's four or five guys that could very well be first round picks. I think you are right, there's a decent chance the Browns will draft high enough with their pick to have a top QB fall into their laps.

<p>
	Tonight in Death Valley, there's 2 NFL QB prospects featured in the Clemson vrs LSU match-up. Okay, I'll start with an inconvenient truth that in order for Clemson to sign Cade Klubnik out of the state of Texas - it necessitated schools like Texas A&amp;M to get the stiff arm and the stiff wind.  That wasn't Rain on the Scarecrow or blood on the plows - those were tear drops... Anyway, this is his 4th year with a talented and experienced Receiver Corps returning.  It's all lining up for him and Clemson on paper.  Time to step into his fate.
</p>

<p>
	Having said that, let's put our American Pie hats on here.  Sometimes there's a kid that shows up to the party after the prom without a date.  Meanwhile - all his other buddies that rented limos, tuxes and purchased delicious meals for 2 also showed up to the same party.  The job at hand here is who can deliver the magic?  I gotta say only 1 kid tapped Stifler's mom and that was kid without a date - Finch. Just when it couldn't get any more outrageous - Stifler actually walked in on the naughty session.  That poor kid was already a train-wreck.  That's how you deliver the magic nobody will ever forget.  LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier has a tremendous opportunity to show up to the party hosted by Clemson tonight; and bring something that crowd and TV viewers will never forget.

<p>
	Yes, there's a decent chance.  Our Safety position isn't strong.  We lost a CB for the year.  And LB'er needs help.  But what has been our main problem?  QB, right?  But what if Flacco plays well?  Do we have a chance to get several wins?  We're hoping that our OL is improved with new coaching and healthy tackles.  We have a new RB room.  Perhaps Tillman, Thrash, Fannin Jr. will emerge.  It's not impossible that this team isn't half bad.   Just sayin'.

			...just gonna say....waay too early.  But with two 1st round picks we can possibly make big progress in '26.  Or, we might have to package the 2 picks to move up near the top of the draft to reset the QB position yet again.   11 1/2 months of stuff in the way right now.

	With two potential top ten picks, I'll be glued to the tube this college season watching potential Browns players in all different position groups. Browns will have needs everywhere.
</p>

<p>
	Clemson looks loaded, has quite a few potential first rounders.

			 I've been granted access to all-22 for certain teams from this past 2024 season.  It's a gift and I'm incredibly grateful for it, I just wish I had this sort of hook up 10 years ago.  The information you gather with this one tool is incredible.           Anywho... of those teams I have extensive footage on is Clemson and the other Texas.
		</p>

		<p>
			I have every single Clemson game of Klubnik and all 3 of Arch's games.
		</p>

		<p>
			 Dove head first into the Klubnik against Georgia game.      <u><em><strong>Kid needs a ton of work </strong></em></u>- he's closer to being Matt Corral than he is Baker Mayfield.   Clemsons offense structures also weren't all that impressive,   but what was there wasn't taken full advantage of either.    It was a mental, physical and schematic ass kicking from start to finish.
		</p>

		<p>
			 Then I noticed a trend of losses over the course of two seasons and ran some numbers.   Cade Klubnik has beaten exactly ONE top 15 defense in his entire career - Notre Dame in 2023.  A game where Cade threw for a staggering 109 yards, Sam Hartman tossed two INT's and Phil Mafah, now with the Cowboys, had 36 carries for 186 yards.
		</p>

		<p>
			 Beyond that? Let's check 2023.
		</p>

		<p>
			Duke - Loss
		</p>

		<p>
			Florida State - Loss
		</p>

		<p>
			Miami - Loss
		</p>

		<p>
			NC State - Loss
		</p>

		<p>
			2024
		</p>

		<p>
			Georgia - Big Loss
		</p>

		<p>
			Louisville and their 64th total defense - Loss
		</p>

		<p>
			South Carolina - Loss
		</p>

		<p>
			 I can't imagine any professional in the Browns organization looking ahead to their prep work for 2026 by position and just gushing over Klubnik.   Statistically, his profile is closer to Johnny Manziel's than his predecessors in Watson and Lawrence.    (Manziel also had one win against a top 25 defense his entire career, the other was against a Duke team just inside the top 50)
		</p>

		<p>
			 If leadership, "winner", "gamer" whatever are the preferred terms you like when evaluating a QB, I struggle to see how you'd like this kid.
		</p>

	1 very important trend as it relates to Clemson - when Kirby Smart arrived at UGA they started winning those post season games that previously alluded them. Consequently, Kirby started getting more of the top prospects in GA to join his football program at UGA.  Dabo Swinney/Clemson used get a lot of those recruits. As we've seen, Clemson hasn't been that same program that was a legit BCS team who could win it all.  I think they made the playoffs last year - but their chances of winning it all weren't any better than SMU's or Boise State's in a much bigger playoff pool.
</p>

<p>
	This looks to be the best/most experienced group of Receivers Klubnik will be throwing to. Even better, they've already established their chemistry with Klub to build on in 2025.  Should be interesting... I've been critical of him too before this thread. If he needs to be an NFL Franchise messiah for an impatient owner like Jimmy - is he wired for that?   Just a reminder here, Cleveland has rarely had healthy/starting offensive tackles in recent years.  When anyone chooses to watch Klubnik - hopefully it will be matchups that can put heat on a passer to give you an idea of how he could handle NFL life in Cleveland.  Like you pointed out above with the defenses faced - will the ACC have enough of these defenses to challenge him?

	Me too.  I saw him one time last year when his pass pro was breaking down all over the place; and he was incredible at maintaining his poise and escaping the pressure, Even better, he still managed to complete the passes or run for 1st downs.
