"Russian aircraft carried out two provocative operations on Friday over the Baltic Sea. The two incidents, separated by only a few hours, have resulted in increased readiness of NATO fighters in the area and in Estonia requesting emergency consultations under Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty.

The first incident involved three Russian MiG-31 fighters, which entered Estonian airspace around 10 a.m. local time. The MiG-31 is a fourth-generation fighter reputed, at least by the Russians, to be the fastest fighter in the world. It can carry the nuclear-capable Kh-47M2 Kinzhal air-launched ballistic missile. The flight approached from over the Gulf of Finland and was intercepted by Finnish Air Force fighters near Vaindloo Island, about 124 miles from Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. Estonia's government invoked Article 4 of the NATO treaty Saturday, triggering urgent consultations among the 32 members on bolstering defenses. The flyover breached the installation's protected safety zone in Warsaw's exclusive economic zone, prompting alerts to the armed forces and maritime authorities.

These two incidents come days after some 20 Russian drones entered Polish airspace from Belarus despite Russia saying they strayed from an attack on western Ukraine. This also caused Poland to ask for Article 4 consultations."

It's very tough to stop once they start. Russia says any troops that go to the Ukraine, even as peacekeepers, will be targets. Russia is desperate for the geography that owning the Ukraine represents - a springboard to the Baltic States, Poland/Norway/Sweden etc.

Putin/russia will not stop, or they would never have started. As soon as russia goes further, NATO is going to war with russia.

   Me, I would have sent missiles to the Urkraine, and let the Ukraine destroy the submarine base in Crimea, and destroy all russian troops in the territories they grabbed, We should have sent missiles to Ukraine before the invasion. Russia said it was just an exercize, and sure enough, the west did nothing.

Back in the sixties, russia and our America entered into a non-bioweapon development treaty.

    Years later, we found out they immediately went underground and boosted their funding in developing offensive bioweapons. I've referenced the book before.

At some point, war will have to happen before russia is stopped. Sadly, it could have all been prevented.

Russia has a long history of breaking international treaties. A history of disinformation and propaganda…. and now all of a sudden Russia is the good guy. Ukraine bad.

The last treaty broken resulted in the invasion of Crimea. The 1994 agreement between Clinton, Ukraine, AND Russia  guaranteed the security of Ukrainian territory provided Ukraine denuclearized.
