If I was a politician, I would do everything I could to encourage as many billionaires as I could in to my community. They build stadiums, contribute to the arts, education, build health wings at hospitals, library's, buy tables at every fundraising function.   Let's be real here.

Just look at the City of Cleveland and the downtown area. There hasn't been a decent Mayor here since Mayor White. These people don't give a crap about anything other than their kickbacks. The city government is an absolute joke and embarrassment, and really doesn't deserve a professional sports team. I've had many service contracts with them over the last 30 years. They are completely dysfunctional and will never change.

Thanks Bob! None of the following is directed at you - it's just an appropriate place to mention some things. The part in bold should end the concern.  On the other hand, it did come from a guy that had one of the most controversial rebate scams in the country.  Most rebates are set up to take advantage of people being too lazy to fill out the form to get it.  Unfortunately Jimmy's business (Pilot) took it a step further.  They weren't even telling their customers about the rebate or handing them the form to complete to get it.  That wasn't by accident either.  I lived in Nashville for 11 years so I was well aware of it.  It had nothing to do with what political party Jimmy was in IMO. Extremely wealthy people get away with a lot in this country so they continue to challenge the boundaries with wrist slap consequences at worst.  If billionaires paid taxes like they should - it could solve a lot more problems than people think. We might even have an affordable health plan for 100% of the middle class instead of the reality about to hit.  Listening to whining and bs from people pretending migrant workers in apple orchards without healthcare benefits at salaries below minimum wage are stealing their American dream - really?

The Austin Browns and use the existing 100,000+ UT stadium. Plenty of room to build his own later. Fastest growing area of the country would be sellouts every weekend. I'd be first in line for season tickets too.

Look at our airport for example, a joke because politicians fought expansion in the 70s, 80s, 90s. 

Activists bitch about billionaires like Haslam getting these "breaks," but they don't care about suburbs offering 20 year tax abatements on other projects( burdening the average Joe), basically allowing poaching.

All NE Ohio has done is create more bureaucracy ( County Council) to "oversee" stuff. A never ending stall, it's sad.
