So I've heard this story and others like it for years. I've always thought it was an urban legend. I don't know who this guy is and I understand that Tucker Carlson will interview people that have fantastic stories to tell. Not necessarily as an endorsement but.. you know what I mean. What are you guys think? Conspiracy theory or honest to God military industrial complex skullduggery?

I can't imagine that if it were possible to get 200 MI out of a gallon of gasoline that the Chinese or Japanese or anybody else who is not fossil fuel rich wouldn't be doing it? Not only for automobiles but for just about every facet of manufacturing.

Well if you go with what AI says…..Tuckers guest claiming that oil companies lobbied the government to pass the Invention Secrecy Act of 1951 is not true.

Based on available historical analysis and records regarding the

Invention Secrecy Act of 1951, there is no evidence suggesting that oil companies directly lobbied for or initiated the legislation.

The act was primarily driven by national security interests, building upon wartime measures from WWI and WWII, rather than a push from the oil industry.
