9/11/2001 ... We cannot even begin to grasp the impact that date will hold histrically. The changes it wrought are still happening and evolving. It will be a MUCH different world 50 years from now, and MANY of those changes will be able to be traced to that event.</p>

LOTR is great. i can barely watch the 3rd one for some reason, but i absolutely love the first 2.  </p>

1.  Michael Phelps. Though Tiger may be the more obvious choice, Phelps was the one who popped into my head first.</p>

4.  Oh Brother Where Art Thou.  I looked at a Top 100 list on line and picked out the one I'd watch the most.  Runners up:  Pride and Prejudice and Cast Away. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy was excellent but I can't say I'd watch it again.</p>

5.  9/11 is the "I remember where I was when it happened" event of the decade.  Though I have to admit that I was somewhat disappointed in how we, as a nation, responded.  Not to minimize the sacrifice of those who lost their lives, but I thought our reaction should have been more along the lines of "Screw it. You'll have to do more than knock down a couple of buildings to hurt US."</p>
